I have used this plugin 6 time since purchasing it yesterday (sounds fanatastic btw)....WHEN it works and apparently doesn't crash my host (SONAR 8.5 and even CANTABILE 2)

Anyone else having issues?

I run vocal samples through it one minute and its great - the next time i try and do the same thing - NO audio is passing through. I just had 2 BSOD's as well using Sonar.

Maybe jumping the gun here (especially regards the new SONAR update)...but even in Cantabile? C'mon - thats as stable as a rock.

System is totally clean and nothing is untoward.

I use it too occasionally. Never had any issues with it though using EnergyXT, Orion, Live 7 LE and Renoise on both Vista and XP with and without ASIO drivers.

Yes.

But then in the meantime since, i upgraded my SONAR to 8.5 - hence why im asking if anybody else is having issues. I DID NOT demo it in Cantabile 2 though....which only adds to the mystery.

Ive a feeling its going to be related to Sonar.

Its strange that one minute its accepting Audio through and the next, nothing.

Fwiw, it is frequently used here in Reaper 3.12 and no problems so far.

After further tests - it is becoming clearer that the issue im experienceing seems to be with 'SOME' of the samples/phrases in the Tonehammer 'Forgotten Voices' libraries.

Half of them will NOT run through Toraverb (or at least, they play - but produce no output)

Some of them do......

Is the output routing in Kontakt correct for the voices that play but you can hear no sound?

Is the output routing in Kontakt correct for the voices that play but you can hear no sound?

They seem fine through Kontakt - its when i load an individual sample into Cantabile or place one on an Audio Track in SONAR 8.5 - then run them through Toraverb as an Insert/Send bus that i experience a hit and miss scenario.

Some work, some dont. Its a bit baffling tbh.

It doesn't work on my old AthlonXP 2000+. It just gives error messages and doesn't load on VSTHost, Cubase Studio 4, and Reaper 3.

Does it need a newer computer to work?

Windows XP/SP3 here 1.5GHz (Celeron)! I tried the new improved DEMO and it seems to be working well, if still a little on the CPU hungry side of things. If I didn't have so many other great Verbs, I'd probably pick that baby up in their 50% sale!

I'm sure the problem isn't with the host used (CS4) but with my hardware. If you re-read my post above you will see that it doesn't work on any of my hosts.

Anyway, instead of discussing it here I think it will be faster if you just download and try the demo on your machine.

...and back to my issue, is anybody running it on old AthlonXP (SSE1)?

I use it on CS4.5.2 but on a mac; I still have to test the lastest release (1.20), but the previous one was working...

Download the demo version and try yourself!

I can confirm this. I've AMD Athlon XP 2500+. A demo crashes Energy XT2 and won't show up in Cubase Studio 4 and when I rescan plugins it gives error messages and freezes computer.

Toraverb demo also crashes Wavelab6 completely, so I had to kill Wavelab with Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL). Works fine in CubaseSX3 so far.
This Wavelab issue stopped me from buying it immediately.
