Is there a way to make the LFO work without having to play audio on the track it's inserted to?
Now I can only get it to work by eg. playing a silent soundfile on the channnel....
LFO without input signal?

If you're running Logic, use the 'AU Generator' version of the LFO on an instrument channel.
If you're running something else, let me know what, but everything else should work anyway.
