Tested it last night and it really seems to be working. Though the original track was recorded with ultra-leaking mic, I could not hear any really disturbing in the process of un-clipping it :)

So, its nice.

Does the loudness reduce in proportion to the reversal of over-compression and restoration of dynamic range? I've simply got to make time to test this baby.

Yes, in my experience running some simple a/b tests with the processed track normalized, the subjective loudness was reduced on the processed track. Normalized to a peak -0db, the difference between the original and the processed track is a very, very apparent one. Volume matched to RMS the difference in perceived loudness is less so, but that's to be expected.

Well I can think of any number of albums that need this reprocessing. Is there a batch mode? :)

i've already batch-processed entire albums with ReLife within SoundForge!

i still can't find a way to purchase a FULL 1.3 version of this though...

I tried it yesterday, but noticed that it removes quite a lot of sub-basses (at least too much for the mix i fed it with).

I guess it will suit pop/clasisical/acoustic pretty well, but it mightn't be for drum &bass / dubstep / miami bass lovers ;)

Drum & Bass in addition to Dubstep use a lot of compression. Many use compressors to enhance bass and make it loud. An equaliser can easily remedy your problem.
