Jo,
I am sure MULAB will work in Windows 7. I was wondering if Windows 7 performed even better than Windows XP as far as audio/MULAB is concerned.

I can imagine that's not easy to measure.
For there are so many system parameters that influence performance that such test should be done on the very same machine, i think, first on WXP, then on W7.

Jo,
Indeed.
I might go to the shops and get Windows 7 and try it on the IBM PC.
I might wait until the service packs are out first.
This could be another forum topic to watch.

Jo,
I now own a copy of Windows 7. I installed it on my IBM PC and used it all day today. MULAB seems to function exactly the same as in Windows XP.
I will write more later during the weekend.
I thought you would like to know ASAP if MULAB works OK in Windows 7 and so far it looks fine to me.
Have a nice weekend!

Jo,
Day 2 in the land of Windows 7. Have moved all my MULAB songs/tracks over to this new operating system. So far all my hardware is OK and so to are my VST/VSTi etc.
MULAB has performed flawlessly.
Although it is very early days. I like this new O/S, a lot.
I will hammer it over the next few days and let you know if I hit any MULAB issues.
Although I am not worthy to review software products such as Windows 7 as I am not a reviewer but I will let you all know what my personal Windows 7 journey has been like.
It is only fair that I live with it for awhile before making any rushed judgments.
So far I am personally very pleased with this new O/S.
Talk to you all soon.

Dear All,
After my very long journey with Linux recently which I enjoyed immensely I have now spent time with MS Windows 7.
I personally like it a lot.
It is probably a combination of XP and Vista, taking best bits of both.
Windows 7 seems to allow the end user to be able to turn off all the bits you do not like.
Basic feel to me is it performs pretty much like Windows XP speed wise, at least on my test PC.
It comes with lots of toys built-in.
I am currently running it in full colour with nothing turned off except the odd pop-up message. All my software works as it should.
Anyway I am glad I made the change on this PC from XP, but most of my business type PCs will stay on XP for now.
The future looks good, I am happy to use XP, Windows 7 and Ubuntu Studio on my separate PCs and just choose the right tool/PC for the job in hand.
Windows 7 is obviously designed for the future, so take a look at drivers for older video cards and soundcard compatibility.
This has been a very short journey for me and the end result is pleasing to me.
There are loads of video etc on the internet about Windows 7 and many sites showing you how to configure Windows 7 to your tastes etc.
I am running on the out of the box version (no service packs out yet) and all has run perfectly and stable no glitches etc.
