"Decay" is a bank of 32 dark and moody sounds inspired by urban exploration. Think decaying buildings, asbestos hazards, old machinery, used syringes laying on the ground, forgotten memories, shattered glass, and the adrenaline rush and undercurrent of fear you get when you are snooping around someplace you aren't supposed to be. The sounds in the Decay soundset are fitting for musicians of all different tastes wishing to inject some creepy mojo into their tracks.
This collection comes in fxb format and also includes the individual preset files in fxp format, which are emailed to you together in a single zip file.

Lol, you must have visited Detroit or Pontiac recently, possibly Flint too for inspiration.

Actually, I just have a bunch of websites in my browser where I'll look at photos for inspiration purposes. One of them is called ForgottenMichigan.com, which shows several locations around the Detroit area. I'm from Michigan myself, but have never physically been in those locations. That said, urban exploration is a hobby I would most certainly be interested in taking up.metalifuxx wrote:Lol, you must have visited Detroit or Pontiac recently, possibly Flint too for inspiration.

Just picked this up today. Some wonderful sounds in here, mostly of a depth, often beautiful. And, dang, aren't some of these sounding huge?!?
An aptly named set, well worth the pennies.

Ahhh f**k I forgot how good this synth could be.
I wonder if Gladiator is good for this kind of stuff too, that would be wicked.
I might have to pick this up, if only for inspiration. I love these pads man.

Thanks a lot, bobsled
. Firebird definitely packs quite a punch for its small size and messing about with those HCM ocsillators can yeild some very intriguing results very quickly.
@xybre: Oh yeah...Gladiator is most definitely capable of the same wicked atmospheres and pads. As a matter of fact, this mini-project actually made me really want to dig back into Gladiator again since it's essentially a very advanced version of Firebird.

Hi Tp3Tp3 wrote:Thanks, B !
Is there a chance to package 'em all as a bank ?
The bank ships in both formats, the bank itself in fxb, plus the individual fxp files. The bank file in the collection is titled "XS-Firebird-Decay.fxb"
Since this bank is a small collection, I wanted to give people both options.
