Great video! It looks soo awesome!
I know something I'm going to want though, which I'm sure you don't have.. and thats multiple inputs and outputs. It would be fantastic to have!

Beautiful GUI! Watching the video now -- it seems very well thought-out.

Thanks, guys!!
Unfortunately my kilu.de-server seems to be down somehow. Don't know why.
So, here's a temporary new server: (until i get back my prodyon.net):

im coming in the middle of the show here, forgive me if these have been answered....
i notice some loops are 1 bar and some 2, 4, or maybe even more. how many bars max can a loop be?
how much ram and cpu does it need? i kinda wish there was a standardized cpu rating for plugins like mpg for cars...
its really beautiful in looks and function.

WOW Dennis!
When you do a comeback - you do it with STYLE man!
I JUST this week picked up a ultracheap Pentium D machine - so Im interested in Windows stuff again
Looks like my timing was good! Im a little unsure about what exactly is happening but is sure looks like FUN!
Im also just coming in the middle of the show! One question - are the FX editable (reverb length etc)?
This looks like it hits precisely where The Finger missed out - all the cool looping and voice synth stuff in the demo videos - well you got that covered!
Anyhoo - WOW!
You have a PM!
Dave

thank you! For both the WAV players and recording channels max. 4 Bars at the moment. You can of course load longer samples but since the players adapt the playback sample rate, the loops may sound a bit "downshifted" then
In one of the next updates, i will add a new dynamic memory management and the possibility to have free looping without any bars 'n beats. Also the max bar time will then be 8 or 16.
I guess LM would even work with 512 MB RAM or so, but of course the more - the better. A 2Ghz CPU is the minimum at the moment.
Hope that helps!

@Dave: Got it
Yes, most of the FX are somehow editable.
For example the keyboard reverb effect - the harder you hit the particular key, the longer the reverb tail will be.
Same goes for Scratching (speed), Chorus (intensity), Distort (filter freq), Pitch/Lofi (speed) and some others...
The input fx are also somewhat "flexible"

no, thank you. programming is the classical art of the modern age.
i was gonna ask also how things work at for instance an asio buffer of 64 samples? and does it work well at 48k?
will it work on v-machine? sad thing about that would be not seeing the gui which is so nice, but itd be cool to have this in a small hardware box like that.
and a couple ideas, maybe be able to have the looper tempo adjustable independent of the host w/o the host updating it or it updating the host.
also a tap tempo function?
i use my laptop live as a vsti rack that i play with a windsynth and those are all my settings. ive been messin with a free echo plugin called echolive that has a tap tempo button and runs independent of host tempo. i never press play on the host (nuendo) and its fun to just setup the delay time on the plugin using the tap tempo and it works amazingly well. im lucky to work with pretty steady drummers but even still i was suprised to see a tap tempo work so well on a plugin.
i can imagine how tap tempo on a delay plugin would be a way simpler trick than on something as elaborate as live machine.
but thats all i can think of for now.

@Tony:
i have yet to try it with a buffersize that low, but i doubt it will work crackle free as long as you don't own a RME soundcard
but that said, i will continue to improve CPU usage until i have something around 10-15% which (i think) is totally reasonable.
EDIT: got it down to 4ms so far without problems (core2duo, 2ghz).
I could implement a tap tempo funtion, yes - good idea. Noted!
For LM, you don't have to press play on your host ever - until you decide to record/add something else.
The standalone version will also have built-in audio-recorders so you can capture your whole performance at any time.
Oh and yes, it should work with V-Machine, also on Mac OSX. (Has to be tested, though).
