Spectrasonics Trilian...(Omnisphere v.1.1 now out with native x64 support!)

Eric,
the glide on/off button does not seem to be midi-learnable. Any reason for this, when so much else is? I know it can be disabled by playing staccato if the (L)egato button is pressed, but would be nice to be able to switch it on/off altogether using midi.

Could this be added in a later revision?

Can't tell you how much I'm enjoying using Trilian, so this is a very minor niggle. The new synth patches are as amazing as the Electric/Acoustic patches. You guys have clearly put an enormous amount of work and love into this.

Spectrum, I have uninstalled Trilogy, Installed Trillian, Installed all the updates/patches from the website, when I use the directory for Trillian/Trilogy library on the ui where are the old 'Trilogy Synth Bass Patches'? I'm confused, have these not been updated yet? All I have in the Trilogy Library(OF TRILLIAN) are the Electric & Accoustic Banks, not the old Synth bank...

It seems the old synth bank(updated) will be ready in a month on their website, it also says more 'new' patches may/will be available in the future, I'm now happy! Thought something was wrong with my installation, i.e. thought that I might have to have Trilogy installed too, was a bit confused!

this is exactly my (only) point. I want to be able to do a clean uninstall/install cycle whenever I need to do. Edit: even these days screwed installations can happen to occur.

I already have contacted the Spectrasonics support on that and I'll report back here.

As far as I can see it only installs into a single folder in program files which contains just a shortcut to the STEAM date, the dll and the licence data file, and another for the STEAM files/samples and presets etc (if you install to 2 locations like I have). Couldn't find anything added to the registry even so I guess a clean install just means deleting those 2 folders.

Likely yes it is that simple.

I even said something similar myself earlier about the possibility of it being just a few folders to delete and thats it, but while its only 1% of my concerns regarding Omni and Tril (too busy having fun making music with them...those new synth bases for instance are ) I would still be interested to hear how Specrasonics themselves advise removing a previous install so that I get it 100% right.

Spectrasonics give specific details about the install process especially if you have already installed Omnisphere, for instance IIRC one is advised to use the same STEAM folder for Omnisphere for a Trilian install as well...so it could be Spectrasonics also have specific steps to properly remove a previous install.
Clearly there must be a way...it may already be documented in Trilians or Omnis reference guide. I have not found it yet but maybe it is there.

You have the same relaxed and enthusiastic style that Eric has in his videos. The delivery of the video was also really well done.

You just might start a landslide of requests for other videos.

Really top notch video. Narration, delivery and pace of tutoring was excellent. Just like someone popping in and sitting in your studio giving you a 2 -3 minute tip on creating a bass sound in Trilian.

Has anybody had any luck installing to another drive?

I followed the instructions in the manual for installing to an external and it installs fine.

However, my issue comes when I install the updates. The updates do not allow the option of choosing another drive...

I'm on OSX if that's relevant at all. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have installed to an external drive but can not open trillian as a plug-in in Live or Logic , in fact I cant find an icon for trillian in any of the folders on the external drive, should there be one, did your version show up right away as a plug-in

I keep getting ram crashes, even with the light when doing any of the stringed stuff. It's strictly only synth usable right now.

Replying to my own post here - Just watched MIDIHead's Vimeo tutorial, so I can see how he's used Mod wheel to switch glide on and off. Not quite the same as midi learn for the glide on/off, but it'll do as a workaround.
