Does FLS have PDC? I have a project running but when I add an instance of Devastor on a track, that track starts playing all notes earlier. If there was a PDC issue I'd have thought it would be a late not trigger.

FL S doesn't have automatic PDC, meaning you have to do it yourself. It's pretty annoying and that's why I avoid using delay-introducing plugs unless it's on the master channel. It's not a deal breaker for me but I'd imagine that for studios with DSP cards etc. it must be. It's a shame it hasn't been added (and probably never will) because FLS is so capable that gol is doing a disservice to FLS and Image-Line by not adding it. It certainly doesn't help with the "toy" image some snobs throw at it.

So by "do it yourself", I assume you mean move midi notes around yes? It struck me as odd that the midi would be heard sooner. I thought the issue was that adding some plugins caused delay on that channel, which is the opposite of what is happening here.

Yeah, that's odd.

You don't have to move MIDI notes around, though. There's a way to do it by adjusting the delay after the reported latency (in the hint bar) in the FX channels. When you're using just one effect with latency as an insert on one FX channel, it's pretty easy to do. Try doing it with multiple latency-introducing effects with sends and complicated mixer configurations though and you'll soon discover that you need a Phd in maths.

There's a section in the manual that describes the procedure from beginning to end and I've read it at least three times. Maybe I'm dumb as f**k because I really don't get it as soon as it gets a bit complicated. :D In the help file search "pdc", then "mixer properties" and scroll down to the "plugin compensation" section. Good luck! :D

I couldn't even find the 'Delay entry menu'. But I disabled latency compensation under 'Disk Recording' on that mixer channel and I think it is fixed. It's late and I'm tired so I'll make sure tomorrow. It's a great system Imageline have  Care to point me toward the 'Delay entry menu'? Thanks for the help
