I have OWD silver, and I have a question. Well, first of all, I have to say that I love it! I am so impressed with the sound. But on to the question...
Is there a discription of each kit? Is there a way to know something about a kit before I load it up?

Well, initially the brands of the kits and certain details were not intended to be known. But when the Expandable Series happened you could then see the individual sample set names so the cat was out of the bag a little. Not that it was supposed to be a secret but the creators of the product - Allen Sides and Steven Miller who are engineer/producers want you to think of the kits as "Ocean Way Branded" with their own sound and that IS what you get. But of course there are the differences between each kit and that they want each person to use their ears and make up their own minds what each kit might be good for. Fair enough. I think that makes a lot of sense. One should go through the library and make notes for what tracks they think the kits would be good for. That's the best way to do it regardless of what the marketing machine tells you.
But, since we have the marketing machine revved up for a one time GROUP BUY involving 10 of the 19 Ocean Way kits (which are not the same as the Silver Multichannel kits but they do come FROM those kits and so some of the descriptions may apply) then at least here is some info - unofficially commented on by us. If it gives you any pointers but really in the end... gotta use your ears and at least Steven Miller has put together 3 demos for every kit in Ocean Way Drums to listen to here:

and here are videos too btw:
