I guess I'm behind a bit...since I lost all concept of time shortly after downloading, installing and using the prototype.

Another remarkable instrument, H.G.
Oops, AlienSpaceWeaver.

Detecting the stealthy submarine starts with maintaining a tool kit of different sensors. Each sensor has specific applications that counters different submarine operations. Many of these sensors complement and corroborate each other to enhance ASW effectiveness. Air ASW sensors are divided into two basic types; acoustic and non-acoustic. In some foreign services, these acoustic and non-acoustic sensors are commonly referred to as wet- and dry-end sensors.

On the front page you say you did not use Photosounder to create the spectral sounds from images. As I was thinking of purchasing Photosounder myself can you explain why you preferred other software and can you let me know which software you used ?
First I was tempted too to have a go on Photosounder but after noticing they have different licenses for private & commercial usage I remembered there are other programs around for the same or similar task. Thus I googled a little til I found one which does give quite similar sounding results as Photosounder and does offer some other neat features too ;-) So google is your friend and try among those progs for the one which suits you best - there are a few around.

Thanks ;-)

by now it's getting clearer about the proceedings. Release will not be this week but next week as there are still a couple of things to be done or to be prepared.

What I can tell by now is the standard i.e. free version will have the waves found in the prototype (osc. 1=70, osc. 2=15) while the Pro version will have 30 image generated waves for osc. 2 and 128 waves for osc. 1 incl. some vocal/choir stuff adding up quite nicely. And, I'm still thinking about disabling loading sf2 and wav within the free version simply in order to encourage users to support my work ;-)

cheers

Yes, probably a good idea to have loading of sf2 and wav only in the Pro version. On the other hand one can have different sf2 loaded into his VSTi even if the actual loading is not enabled.
Here is what you do:
Put your sf2 file into the subfolder of the VSTi where all those .sem and .sep files are but give it the name of the internally stored sf2 file/s. Now this one will be loaded instead of the internal one.
To find out what the names of the internal sf2 are use a file viewer or even win editor and look into an fxp there you'll find the resp name/s.
Not a very convenient solution but works :-)

Thanks HG - I found Spectrobits here on KVR in the DC 09 challenge which does a great job and produces similar, if not better, results.

well, that one slipped through my radar and it does indeed look even more versatile than Photosounder in musically terms as it has got a kbd control already :-) I'll have to check it with the images I've already processed with the proggy currently in use here to see what are the differences in result.

well, probably friday this week but definitively not earlier. Although I was aiming at mid of this week but Daniel did nag me consistently to change the GUI buttons, then I did process more images thus osc 2 will have 64 waves now with the Pro version. Still waiting for some pesets and demotracks to arrive. And, unfortunately on thursday I'll have to be out of office for another job :-(
If we are luck it will be friday ...

Thanks Fortune, by the way did you get my email? I don't think I mentioned who I was on KVR, so you might not have known it was me. credo5151
and I noticed you said not to send pm's on kvr.

Here are 6 demotracks by Dimitri Schkoda showing Alien Space Weaver is capale to produce some stunning sounds even requiring not much additional instruments for good sounding tracks with some amazing spacey athmosphere:
DEEP_SPACE_INTERMEZZO
FINAL_DESTINATION
COSMIC_DREAMSHIFT
HYPERSPACE_LOVERS
ALIENARCHIC_INVASION
I_AM_THE_ALIEN_SPACE_WEAVER

have fun
