it is interesting to hear what others were looking for, and found. not every plug is built for everyone, and we are all different. cats/sparrows...
its good to see confirmation that something i MIGHT have no use for is someone elses goldmine.
(not that pancake falls into that category for me. i find it very easy to use, and very well built, if a bit utilitarian, and perhaps redundant in FLStudio.)

the line between imaginative/original and utilitarian/useful was tough to deal with in this comp.
i thought that my first place VOTE should be reserved for an objective vote: for the good of the collective. whatever was empirically the most kick-ass.
and that second place should be entirely subjective: what will *I* be using everyday.

that said, top three shocked the shit out of me.
not for lack of quality, at all. i just never thought that plugs like those would have the mass popularity to win out.
the only top synth is FM!?
cool, but woah.

Hmm I have to say I find it quite boring that a tape dynamic simulator won. I long for the days when something like Xoxos' nature suite used to win these things ;)

On the other hand, clearly one man's bore is another man's gold mine...

Congrats Bootsie!!

Your win is well deserved :D..

Yep!
However, all the crowd contributed should be rewarded, too. So I spent 20$ and hope we crack the 2000$-limit soon.

Kudos to all contributors, all my deepest respect for your enthusiasm and commitments!

i haven't had a monitoring environ suitable for forming an opinion on the efficacy of bootsie's plugin (or much use of tape since my tascam 424 warbled out of service) - if it's as good as people say (and the fellow's informed assistance in the dsp forum is appreciable) then lauds for it. tape distortion can be fun (having heard experiments with extreme examples of it, eg. duplicated 100s of times..)

i'm not able to be online often, and i expect this will continue for some time. i can only offer apologies for support of my hurried and incomplete entry. tbh i'd like a dev team for the item in mind.
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.
