Awesome! Makes a lot more sense now with the demo samples and loops. Seriously rockin' piece of software. :D

Thanks very much - those included samples are just the icing on the cake :D (compared to the full version)

bM3w wrote:Wow, what an amazing product. Just played a 10 minutes with it and it's lots of fun. This is a really inspiring tool and I can't wait for the final release. Good job!

However I got 2 small complaints/requests concerning Cubase 5:

1) when you accidentally load the VST as an FX Insert on an Instrument Channel instead of an Audio Channel, Cubase freezes.

2) usually when you CTRL-click on any button in a PlugIn, it resets itself to it's default setting. Maybe you can implement that feature, too.

That aside it's a fun product. Highly recommended!

Thanks!!

1) Oh, didn't realized that  Have to see how i can check that.
2) Good idea, noted :)
I stand corrected: it just froze Cubase when I inserted it on an Audio Channel :? Instead it now also loads on Instrument Channels (where it's actually useless - just FYI). The freezes seem rather random and I have no clue what's causing them, but the pattern is always the same. It starts with the announcement voice and then freezes. The GUI doesn't even show up. Any idea?

What OS? XP, i hope? 32 bit??
How much RAM ? I checked it on a clean XP SP2 - rock solid here... what CPU? A 2Ghz Processor is the minimum :)

mines workin it seems.

im havin a little trouble gettin my loops to line up but i think im pressin record too early or late sometimes. should you press record On the beat or slightly before? be kinda cool to have a setting that always enables record lined up with beat 1

how to erase loop recorder channel/s? how do you reset them? how is their length set/determined?

is there a way to reset everything to start over?

i did end up with one pass where i had everything right but im not sure how i did it i was just wankin away at the buttons almost randomly, using some kind of trick with the mix button to erase some loop recorders and pressing record on the "&" of beat 4, maybe a little sooner like on the "e", (2nd 16th note of beat 4).

its tons of fun like i tought it would be, i didnt even have time to mess with effects or wav players.

Hi Tony,

for now, recording is done via pressing the rec buttone slightly before the next beat ... and also shortly before the next beat "pulse" to stop. same goes with mixdown.
the rec button flashes accordingly.

i know, it's a bit confusing - this is already on my todo list (that you can start recording on beat "one" for example, makes much more sense).

the length of the recorder channels depends on how long you recorded so to say :)

to erase channels you can simply do a quick mixdown with just one channel selected with no audio on it (an empty channel) - everything will be mixed down to channel one.

so if you select channels 1-4 for mixdown and they are all turned off (on/off button) an empty channel one will be "created" :)

Hi Dennis,

no, no XP, but Windows 7 ( :P ) and it's 64Bit, Intel Core 2 Duo 2,13Ghz, 4GB RAM.

The weird thing is I start Cubase for the first time, insert Livemachine and it freezes. Then I force Cubase to quit, reload, insert Livemachine and it works. I know, that doesn't make sense, but that's how it is :?

Cheers,
bM3w

Mhh ok, that weird, indeed  But at least it works :D (No chance to check it since i'm still on 32-Bit XP here)

Hmmm, well after tomorrow when you sold the first million copies of Livemachine I'm sure you can afford an upgrade to Windows 7 :hihi:

Joking aside it might be an incompatibility between Cubase 5 and Windows 7. What Cubase version did you try? Also 5? Steinberg is going to issue an update for 5 in the next couple of days and maybe that cures the problem.

I just tried to load it in FL9 and it opens up immediately, so I guess the problem is really down to Cubase 5/Windows 7.

Thanks for looking into it and make sure you release the full version tomorrow :D

Lets hope you're right :hihi:

Good to hear it works right away in FL :) I also tested it with Reaper and EnergyXT - both work without any problems. I'm still on Cubase 4 but plan to upgrade soon (after the one million sold livemachine copies) ;)

Oh and did i mention that i will extend the pre-order one week? I hope to have the full version ready within the next days, yes.

You can always start simple! Try making a track just with switching tracks on/off and fading them in and out for a start :)
