ya, you remind me of what i want to do. also be needed for 'Text',right?brok landers wrote:could you maybe add mirroring for images, please (sothat everything that is left, is then right)? because if i'd like to do that mirror effect seen on websites often (the screenshot itself, and on the bottom theres a mirror of the same screen, fading into the background). i can't do it, as, if i use the angle with 180 degrees, the picture swaps the side also, so everything that was left, is right, when i use 180 degrees of rotation ... understand what i mean?
i would like to do this by handling negative value for 'Width'&'Height'.

I will not use SSE2 for the presentbrok landers wrote:how about adding sse2 to the preferences, so that one could switch it on and off? that way everyone coud set it up as desired ...
(probably almost same performance. just for easy coding)

and another thing that i would like to do in knobman, but i don't see how:
i'd like to be able to "wrap" text around objects. but not only the thext's individual letters should be able to keep their alignment (i.e. the letters are always horizontal, but the text is wraped around a round knob), but the letters should also get the direction they are "bent" to, understand?
see here, for a better understanding:
would that be possible?
how is it, mr g200kg? something cooking?

Is it possible to create more than 31 knobs in a rotation? I need 63ish and I don't see a way to increase the number of renders from its default of 31..

I would like to second these points. Esp the text as this is something I have really wanted.brok landers wrote:g200kg wrote:brok landers wrote:...and another thing that i would like to do in knobman, but i don't see how:

btw, how about opening a dedicated forum here on kvr? it's free, would make a lot of things easier for you, don't you think? just an idea ...
keep up the good work!
A dedicated forum would be great with seperate threads for different things like Report bugs for the ________, Updates for ________, tutorials, Showoff, Feature request and discussion, etc. I sometime find it difficult that this thread isn't top of the page...the other thread here don't concern me much as they are over my head most of time. I think at this point you deserve and need to have a dedicated forum.

yes it is. look at your tree when you open knobman and find the Preferances layer. You will see Frame (preview) and Frame (Rendering) you can change both and the size. Heres the trick it will not take effect until you hit 'set' once you do this you are good to go.VitaminD wrote:Is it possible to create more than 31 knobs in a rotation? hi
Ver 0.99c 20091207
* Support negative values for 'Size' that will mirror any primitives
* 'Font spacing' parameter is added
* BugFix: texts after space is not displayed in some fonts
* Multi-language support for any language if you prepare the language-file
http://www.g200kg.com/en/software/skinman.html

negative value support unexpectedly has far-reaching ramification. let me know if you have any problem.
the texts undisplayed problem is supposed to be fixed (I just checked by 'lexic5')
Text-path (around circle) is enticing
but is not easy
I need some time to think.
Multi-language support is available (even it is not so perfect). 'language' folder under the .exe file is needed. if you want other language support, you need to prepare '(LangID).txt' file. for example, 1033=english, 1041=japanese. your langID is displayed on About-box. cmdline option '-l####' force the LangID.
A dedicated forum is great but may be pressure for me
what should I do to have a dedicated forum?

hmm, i'd forgotten about startup time.
Though i thought improved in some degree by 0.99b, still takes too long time?
image file load may be not so efficient. using big images or textures?

i have mentioned it a few times in the last few pages, i just noticed that its not instant anymore (like it used to be) seems to take sometimes up to 30-40 seconds to load up skinmang200kg wrote:eh? ive not heed that. is that so long?Kriminal wrote:im talking about skinman, loading from scratch
