Proving (again) that $99 is the magic number ;) :hihi:

I would like to see the V-drum in action with these kits. A video would be helpful. Because it's a new addition to Infinite Player I'd like to see how effective (and hopefully, easy) the new drum mapping is (specifically, with Roland V-drums). Is this doable? I think it would help to sell this to e-drummers.

I remember "eDrummist" was having some issues with the first version of Infinite Player and the V-drum feature is what many have been waiting for (in addition to round robin). So, let's see it in action!

Yep. That is hard to do for a group buy short term but luckily this coincides with the marketing of Drum Masters 2 which is about to be launched officially this month. So part of that work involves showing the new V-Drum and E-Drum features in action. We'll have to do it one step at a time. First thing is to hear all of the kits AND the groovy midi files of this bundle. That's what I am working on this weekend. Maybe next week we'll be on V-Drums and DTX kits showing how the new versions benefit from round robin or how EASY it is to map now with midi learn in the CUSTOM mode or how cool it is in V-Drum mode to be able to switch between sidestick or rimshot (you can see it in the GUI I posted) or how nice it is for the position of the snare to change from center to edge according to the controller data that is sent from a TD20 V-Drum snare... in fact, there are a LOT of things to show! We don't want to miss any of them. In fact, we can't wait for you all to see and hear everything we're talking about because I think many people will like it! That's both keyboardists/producers AND e-Drummists. ;)

any chance the ocean waves player could be included in the group buy? It makes sense to me :hihi: as the ocean waves download kits are priced very nicely and would make further ocean waves purchases more tempting as we would already have the player for them
Nobody's a nobody...

Not possible to do at this price. Each player has a separate fee we have to pay NI and the only way to do include both players would be to charge more to cover all the costs involved in the player and library installers. But we will give everyone a coupon to be able to get OWD Expandable Player with the full OWD DL Edition, Silver, Gold or Platinum. Either way, at THAT point you'll be saving more than usual and it will make joining this group buy practically FREE and a super nice way to try out 10 different OWD Kits before you buy in further - this is the ONLY time you'll ever be able to do that most likely... not to mention the 15 Drum Maters 2 kits as well with discounted upgrades to that series of products.

AT $99 you can't have EVERYTHING but... you sure do get a lot!

I didn't realize there were extra licence costs with NI, coupons sounds good though

Man, 1 week and 20 pages. TMI!

Does the content of this GB overlap the content (some/lots/none) from last year's Multi DL Group Buy? I remember that one had some Drum Masters kits for Infinite Player.

Yeah, they're two separate deals. Ocean Way Drums is actually the studio's product and they just hired us to collaborate with them on it. It's so elaborate in production that there's no way we could have done it ourselves. We did EpiK DrumS ourselves (well, with a massive amount of time from Ken but all paid by us) and it was absolutely BRUTAL! I don't think we can go that far again... not unless you all REALLY love and support us. ;) But, the whole Ocean Way line is funded mainly by Allen Sides who like I said before is the owner of the whole studio. He rents Ocean Way Sherman Oaks to Dr. Dre (permanently booked). That used to be RECORD ONE where Michael Jackson recorded (I used to live right down the street on Matilija Rd when I first moved to LA in 1989).

Anyway, normally Ocean Way Drums and the world of SR's Infinite Player/Drum Masters don't meet together in one package. But, since we did so much work to help OWD (besides just programming it), I asked for a one time favor and we got it! Now, we're going to make the best of it for you in terms of price, features and usability. The only thing is that the product itself will have a limited life. If we're even able to offer it after this month it will only be for a short time and then it will be gone forever... I mean, unless they decide to say "keep going with it" but I seriously doubt that given what their plans are for 2010. So, this is it! A lot of people have asked for an Ocean Way Drums group buy and we can't do that for the regular retail products. I don't think that will ever happen. But this is as close as it gets to that and as evidenced by us almost the lowest price in less than a week I think a lot of people realize that this is the only OWD group buy they're likely to see.

But, what's even better is that it isn't JUST for OWD kits! You get even MORE Drum Masters kits PLUS convolution ambience from a variety of studios around the globe PLUS midi and maybe even a $50 EZ Player Pro with a cherry on top! All for a sweet $99. I wonder how many people out there would go for that deal. Maybe a lot! But first they have to know about it and that's where you all come in. The power of a group of people and some viral marketing. It's the only way such as short term product offer can work BIG.

Hi Brian,

That was multi-choice so if the person chose the Premier or Gretsch kits then yes there's a little bit. But there's enough NEW material not in that group buy to be totally worth $99 anyway.

Sounds good - I'll join :-)

Wow that was easy! Haha.

I've bought almost every group buy, and they have always been incredible value, so yeah, that was easy :-)

That's a lot of group buys! Nice to know we can count on you!

Also nice to see familiar faces around here. I thought we'd see Berfab, Beergeek, Bearded One and a few others pop in. Telebunke seems to have been lost. I always think that maybe at least one of them got yelled at by their wives or girlfriends "You're on KVR too much! What about me???" and that was the end of that. But who knows?
