Since my skin link has caused Xenos soundbank thread go offtopic I'll post a separate thread here. Sorry Xenos ;)

Anyway, if you want 2 new skins for UltraAnalog visit > this link < to download.

Direct links to box.net:
UltraAnalog skins for PC (1.05)
UltraAnalog skins for PC (1.05)

I have also updated the skins to contain both Bmp and Png files because obviously the Mac's don't read the Bmp files as the Windows version does.
Since I don't own a Mac please tell if the skin does not look as in the screenshot at my blog.

Screenshots are hosted at stashbox, if they are not visible there are also screenshots at the download link (only 2 variations have screenies here):

Nice! I never really like the default UA skin. This one's cool.

Thanks!

I have just got an reply from Eric at AAS about distributing my own skin, I asked if I could share it and they have no problem with that. Eric say there must have been a misunderstanding of some kind, they do allow user skins to be freely distributed. I will point him to this thread by email.

Link at my blog is now active again :)
thanks for these skins; very nice. my own attempts looked terrible (i'm a musician, not a graphic artist). thanks.
edit: can't get them to work on a mac. the original bitmaps are .png, and the new skin is .bmp. tried converting them, switched them out and when I opened ultra analog it was blank (no GUI at all). any ideas what I am doing wrong? really like your skin though.
I am having this same problem on my Mac, I hope there's some sort of work-around because your skin looks so much better than the stock design.
I'm on a Macbook Pro. I just opened the skin .bmp:s in Photoshop, saved them as .png:s (not progressive!), put them in the folder where they belong and hey! presto - the new skin was there when I launched UA.

One thing, though - for some reason, the character backgrounds showed up as pink (magenta), not cyan as in the screen dump. So, back to Photoshop, added a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer, shifted the phase of magenta to cyan, flattened the image and re-saved. Done!

Best,

Joachim
I wrote this in Xenos' thread and feel like an idiot. Obviously, the pink areas in the phat_controls.bmp files should be transparent and not cyan. Revisiting the file again in Photoshop, I converted it into a Layer, Color Selected the pink parts and erased them; then did the same with the white background. So now, everything is tranparent except the controls and the cyan characters. Saved as .png (which apparently does support alpha, and there it is - the lovely GUI as intended.

Sorry about the confusion.

Best,

Joachim
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Ok, so In the png's I have to remove the magneta.
I wonder why the windows Vst doesn't read the png's, would've been alot easier to have the alpha channel available...

I'll update the png's again ;)

wow; you are super kind. thanks. it looks weird with the magenta, but the .png's are definitely working now. thanks for all your work.

As soon as I saw the words Limeflavor, Ultra Analog and skin in the same thread title, I knew that I'd find something awesome in this thread! Thanks!! :)

Post

Wow! That is much better than the original  :D
Does it still put the presets as a separate window on the side? I find that really annoying!

Thanks for the positive comments :)
Are the Mac version ok now?

I'm afraid it does but that is beyond my control since it's coded like that.
I'm not very fond of the browser system either.

A great job! I really like this colour scheme.

How about a third skin, keeping what you have got already but this time with subtle colour shading to separate the modules, in a similar way as the original skin ? :)

Should be quite easy to fix, any favourite color for suggestion?
