eBow, what you want to do CAN be done with the new scripts which aren't released yet but are a part of this Group Buy. We'll have a FREE example you can play with some time toward the end of this week and I will go into detail how you can do pretty much everything you just said about Battery but using the CUSTOM map mode - even if you have to load up multiple hi hat instruments to get more feet. ;)

I'm joing the crowd saying THANK YOU to esoundz team for their generous gesture :)

Wow, Vdrum thread closed again! Open, close, open, close. Like a hi hat! It says multiple complaints but I happen to know at least one of the complaints was from a competitor (because he admitted it to me!). I would imagine the other complaints are also from competitors since no one publicly complained once in that thread. Who complains about another company's successful thread? That kind of jealousy is really disappointing. Amazing how some people like to rain on someone else's parade.

In any case, at least people can get the answers they want to know here. I don't know if they'll unlock it a second time. I am not sure who they're trying to please because a lot of the forum members expressed right in the thread they were happy it was unlocked so we could continue the discussion there... since it is as relevant as it gets to that forum "VST and Sample Libraries for V-Drums!!!!".

I am not pissed or anything. But I have to admit that's a bummer as was last night's fiesta with Google. That said, it must mean we're onto something good! That's the way life is sometimes. This could very well be our biggest hit ever and a closed thread or Google over stepping their boundaries of power are not going to stop a determined sound developer... especially not one with multiple tentacles, ink and a beak!

you're a star........can't wait...though, being a newbie to the world of kontakt , the word script fills me with dread...i trust from our brief communications, thus far, that you will be very clear and helpful

cheers...should recieve my new bank card this week....then it's a done-deal

Wow. I didn't even know that squids had beaks!

Another thing that Battery has, which I love, is the ability to create variants (which you can assign to different notes to play alongside the originals). It must all be done with scripting, since you can take any drum hit (and all of its included velocity samples) and instantly turn it into an alternate stroke, release stroke, flam, drag, three stroke ruff, roll, buzz, and a few others. And amazingly they actually sound very good.

Fortunately, all of the Drum Masters and Ocean Way kits have a fair few variations of kit pieces, but it sure would be nice to allow for even more user control over re-building kit pieces. Is there any chance you could introduce some of this scripting like this into Infinite Player?

Scripts are for me to dread and you to enjoy! That's because on our end it is a bunch of code I don't personally understand (we have people here that do). But like you, as a user of this, I want it to have knobs laid out that do specific things for these purposes and that's what it has! So, script is a fancy word for the back end. A better word I should have used are just "features". These are interface controls that will allow you to do some flexible things with regard to custom mapping. That's all I meant! No worries.

Giant Squids have pretty serious beaks.

Yes, Drum Masters 2 has flexible scripting for doing a lot of things with the kit pieces. More info coming as it starts to be released.

As a VDrums.com community member, I did find it disappointing that they closed your thread. It was clearly a very engaging thread with a ton of community participation. All I can think is that it was the ticked off competitor(s) with influence that resulted in the moderators closing it. I really couldn't see how a forum member would have a problem with it beyond that forum owners are often looking to make revenue when a developer promotes their products. Hopefully, the moderators/owner will reconsider and reopen the thread. Overall, VDrums.com is a great community with a lot of very helpful people and not as many covert pitch men shilling products as you get on some other online music-making related communities.

Squids, right before they closed the VDrums.com thread, I posted a couple of questions to you. First, how extensive are the round robin and velocity layers in these kits (I'm not looking for exact specs, just an idea), as it does seem to make a difference when playing electronic drums and (2) can any special arrangement be made for those of us who have Drum Masters 1 versions of some of the kits (hey, I'd be quite happy if you could through in upgrades to Drum Masters 2 for the duplicated kits I have).

Thanks!
