Human Beat Box (HBB) is one of those things that was cool, then uncool, then cool, then uncool and now its back with vengeance. Gnomehammer wanted to celebrate the trend by sharing a selection of new custom HBB patches made by human beat boxing through PVC pipes. The patch was recorded in our epic hall and the ensemble consists of four individuals with no successful history in beat boxing.
Gnomehammer Human Beat Box specs:
* HBB PVC Pipe Ensemble (HBB recorded a series of PVC pipes in ensemble session):
o Bass drum (10 round robin)
o Snare drum (10 round robin)
o Close hi-hat (10 round robin)
o Open hi-hat (10 round robin)
o High tom (10 round robin)
o Mid tom (10 round robin)
o Low tom (10 round robin)

Hey tonehammer, it's very generous and everything, but I went to the site every day since the beginning of the month and didn't find a lot that interested me. The last couple of days were hectic work days and I missed this HBB download, which I would have been interested in. I bought OP-X, Catanya and Improvisator yesterday and one of them (not telling which) had installation issues that took a couple of hours to solve, so I didn't get time to visit the tonehammer site. Do you not think that asking people to visit your site every day is asking a lot of people, unless they happen to casually drop in? I know that missing a day where a download actually was available makes me feel bad about your products, which are actually pretty high in quality. I feel bad especially considering the number of times I visited and looked around and was only sold to. Maybe this is not quite as good an idea as it seemed when you launched it? No? Just my thoughts. I'm sitting here feeling annoyed and abused when I ought to be feeling like you're a good guy with lots of great products, so something has gone amiss. Maybe I'm just being a grinch. I'm not sure.

Thanks for the goodies so far and the link to get the one I missed. I can think of a lot of uses for the Snow Drums. The kazoo ensemble will be an interesting one to fit in a song somewhere!tonehammer wrote:Ehm ... What? Are you serious? It takes a mere 15 seconds to check the Tonehammer website to see what is on offer that day. It takes longer just to go take a piss or get a cup of coffee. That said, it takes TH hours just to make even one freebie library, that they are generously giving you for free. In fact, it took you more time to write your post than it would have to check the website.tropicalontour wrote: so I didn't get time to visit the tonehammer site. If it makes an interesting sound it's likely to get recorded, so don't give them ideas like that synaesthesiasynaesthesia wrote:Dear Tonehammer,

Don't listen to tropicalontour bitchin guys. You are the best sampling company out other, both by the line and quality of products and the attitude toward customers. We love you, so if someone bitchin don't give a f_ck. Though, on the side note, I wish you would made another demo competition cos I'v missed the previous one!
Cheers
BTW how about a request section on your site? Where ppl would share what that want most from you to sample. I am sure you have lot's of wonderful ideas.. but maybe sometime, when you run out of them.. you could check that "whishlist"? Or just having it in mind when you travel the land in the search of new sampling goods.
