i don't get an out signal from some vst plugins (e.g. usine, some xoxos midi generators, stepmachine, ballsequencer). some others work fine.
anyone know why or a workaround?

Version 2.5.2?

Is the transport (play) button on?

Ball sequencer works for me. Didn't try the others.

Which xoxos plugins? I use them quite a bit and I've not come across this problem.

Just tried Stepmachine for you and it works perfectly for me in Energy XT 2.5.2

Have you tried attaching a VST midi monitor to see if the plugin is actually outputting midi or not? You can get one here: http://www.rs-met.com/ on the freebies page.

ah, the target track has to be selected, otherwise no midi is received (is it supposed to be like that?)
usine still doesn't work, but that's probably a problem inside usine.
