thanks peter for restructuring the folder and preset browser in the new 3.1 versions of albino, alpha and organ. it is a great relief to see all folders or presets in one window with different parallel rows. especially for albino where i have thousands of presets and needed to scroll down endless numbers of presets before, the update made me very happy.
so, any owner of these synths who hasn't checked the updates is strongly recommended to install the latest versions. although albino 3.1 is still in beta it behaves well on my system (live 8.1 under windows vista home 32 bit).
cheers

Thanks Gosh :)

Wow this is something I've always wanted from Albino. It's a pain scrolling up and down. :hihi:

Beta? Is this a Public Beta? :hyper:

Will CronoX also be updated to behave like this?

And thanks also for going 64bit !
It actually made me trash my MagazineVersion of Alpha, and buying
the full version.

(Is it really so hard for devs to go 64bit ? - Some seem to have no problem with it,others even refuse to think about).

Cheers

Will the OS X Albino beta be available too all owners, regardless of whether they purchased from Linplug or Rob Papen?

(I ask because I bought a used Albino from a fellow KVR-ian and it's registered over at Rob's site!)

Thanks,

Alan

Oh yes the new preset display is much better. Thanks! :tu:

CronoX will also get this, right. The Albino beta is not yet there for OSX, however, it is available then to all customers who have registered it with us (or bought from us directly).

... So that sounds like a no then? ;)

Ahh well, at least I'll get to try the CronoX and Octopus betas next year! :)

Its public to ll Albino customers, but not public to the (small) rest of the world ;-)

I guess what I'm asking is: as an Albino customer (albeit registered at Rob's site) will I be able to trial the OS X beta when it's ready or are the betas only for LinPlug registered Albino users?

How does the Albino/LinPlug/RP triangle work with updates? Will you supply Rob with the update to put on his site when the next version is ready or will it be provided by the Linplug site only?

Thanks Peter!

As Rob is not developing we never had beta versions available from him, but the update will of course be available to all customers no matter where they registered, As we are meanwhile exclusively distributing Albino (some copies of Albino may be available via music stores) it might be we change that too in the future, however, if that will be the case I'm sure Rob will spread the required information to people registered with him.

I cant seem to nail this update over the top of my stable version correctly...i have installed the path exactly the same as iam required to do - yet im still showing an empty preset selecter. The only way i can access the presets is by moving the .dll INTO the AlbinoBanks folder - then i get all manner of bugs (even crashes re:SONAR) which Peter has been notified about.

Somethings borked with regards to my install/folder path structure...it has to be.

...how does the new preset browser look like? I must have missed that public beta.
