Thanks for the reply.....Ronny Jordan...I remember some years back he had a smooth jazz 'hit' After Hours that I just loved and still do though I haven't heard it in years.

The common denominator between him & I is probably the venerable Wes Montgomery-Ronny is obviously heavily influenced by Wes as am I. Way back when I used to copy Wes' solos note for note as best I could-he had an uncanny ability to 'sing' through the changes of a jazz tune-he somehow managed to find the sweetest notes.

I started listening to jazz horn & pianists years ago (as apposed to Rock guitarists).

If anyone's interested in great, great jazz guitar try and find the album-Beginnings, Wes Montgomery from Blue Note Records-outstanding!

Your kind words mean sooooo much to this lonely ol' dude-they really do! These comments inspire me to write & post more tracks and anotherone is on the way-thanks!

To be honest I did NOT play the bass all the way through. I did play 8 and 16 bar measures on the guitar (I triggered Trilian's Studio Bass) and looped them-cheater! I did leave the phrasing/ timing pretty much untouched-human feel? During the solo I improvised the bass to give it some interest.

Very much so and I like that a lot!! The guitar work and sound reminded me more of the mid 80s output of Pat Metheny though (think: "Still Life Talking" era). Very nice stuff (just like that other track you did was)

Yes I had The Antidote album in mind when I wrote the comment. I'll check Wes Montgomery.
