midi is working fine here in cubase but i'm mainly interested in this for vocal live performances and seem to be to dumb to get my audio signal recognized from LM. how do i set it up?

edit: got it, had to disable direct monitoring. which gives the latency question a new meaning. will see...

Sorry for the delay, folks - as usual, things take longer in the end as expected  Gimme around one more day, please! Thank you!

So, i just sent out the links for V1.0 of Livemachine - still much stuff left to do but at least you can start experimenting and mangling around with it :D :)

Oh, and i'm currently also working on the "Livemachine LE" / Light version with just the input effects, audio input and loopers :) (Non-synced)... it will be free for everyone who ordered Livemachine!

Hey Dennis what do i do with the previous versions? Just delete the demo and overwrite the beta or vice versa? Cheers.

Yes, you can simply overwrite any previous stuff! (Except some FXp's that you've might saved).

Just had a short play around, seems like this will be a lot of fun. Can't wait to load this on my laptop & see how it plays with the live rig. :)

Hi Dennis, congrats to the release!

I still have the problem with Cubase 5 freezing on initial start-up. When I launch Cubase 5 the first time after a system reboot and put Livemachine on an insert, I only hear Livemachine playing the initial loop, but the GUI doesn't show up and Cubase freezes. Then I have to force quit Cubase, relaunch it, restart Livemachine and voila Livemachine's GUI shows up and is ready to play. Unfortunately that also results in leaving weird artifacts of random menu entries somewhere on the screen which won't go away until I log off or restart Windows.

Sadly the problem persists even with the newest Cubase update 5.1.1 which adds Windows 7 compatibility and was just released this evening. Maybe it's an issue with Windows 7 / 64Bit (host is still 32Bit)?

Any idea or anyone else who can confirm this issue?

I had another issue Dennis. Using the full version this time in Cantabile 2. It seemed as though the loops i was creating (3 at this stage - all drum stuff) were all 'adding up volume' towards what can only be described as an armageddon type scenario where my Soundcard (Audio Kontrol 1) went nuts and i was frantically closing down/turning off the individual outputs of the loopers in order to prevent overloading. Kind of worried me i can tell you - it was a gradual 'build up' of volume over a period of around 4-5 minutes working.

I also have 2 questions.

1. Standalone mode? Is it not implemented yet? I have some weird VSTHost.exe stuff in the extracted folder - but already use Cantabile 2 so i wouldn't use that. Is there going to be a dedicated standalone mode?

2. Is there any way of 'panning' the loopers once recorded before using the mixdown feature.

Thanks

That could be because of the REC Buttons, perhaps? For every record you do, everything that is record enabled will be recorded onto one (the next) looper channel. So that means, when you enable all record buttons for all inputs and outputs everything you hear will be (re-!)-recorded and mixed over and over :)

1.) Yes, i hope to have a dedicated standalone version, soon!

2.) No, not yet. Noted for future updates :)

That doesn't sound good. Problem is, i can't check that. Any Cubase5 users out there willing to help ?

Hi Thoshu,

that's not good, seems to be a fault on my side. Mhh.
What kind of WAV loop did you try to load? 16/24 Bits Mono/Stereo WAV (no compression)? Can you reproduce it?
