Nah, I ain't ticked. I actually worked on the post before I clicked send, so I wouldn't start something. I hope I didn't.

Actually, I understand the frustration with these redundant posts. And there may be a better way. If there is, I'm for it. But not posting isn't it.

BTW, we're at 271 now.

Your esoundz downloads remain on your downloads page. You can download anytime. Is that what you were asking?

may i make a suggestion for those complaining about spamming

chose the 'stop following thread' option and then come back once a day, 2 days or whatever and read a few pages in one go

i also was have been a little frustrated about this before until i realised that it's my fault....if i'm gonna keep jumping back like pavlovs dog everytime a 'new message' hits my yahoo inbox then i have no one to blame but myself.....

you guys are doing a great job...

i'm so gutted that i might not be able to enter

Question - are these usable in Battery? I greatly prefer to do most of my drumwork there.

I don't where the sincerity emoticon is, but I'd be happy for you two to take over. Be my guest. My only interest is 300... then 400... then however high we can go. And the only way to do that (that I know of) is to bump threads. People have to see it before they will join.

You want that too, don't you? I hope so. Do you want to take over bumping the threads? I'm fine with that too.
I certainly don't mean to offend you Reverend Rhythm, or the others. It just seems unnecessary to be bumping this thread with such frequency, since most of us get an e-mail each time and log back into KVR only to find that it is another posting of the referral thread, or something.

It is a fine line between "spam" and things that go "bump". This thread is interesting to follow when there is actual discussion about things, but borders on tedious with all the repetition. I enjoy Squids megaposts, and hearing answers to some of the more in depth questions, but I could do without as much of the other stuff.

But whatever. I am responsible for my own experience. I can pay less attention and not check the thread every time I get an e-mail. It would just be more fun to follow if we were actually talking about drums and stuff.

For example...

Because of my anticipation of all the cool scripting for V-drums with these GB drumkits, I am going out the door (right now) to buy a hi-hat controller for my V-drums. I never had a specialized hi-hat pad, since they didn't actually make them when I first bought my V-drums. I was going to ask you guys about the pros and cons of the different Roland hi-hat pads, but it turns out there is only one model that will work with my TD-10 drum brain. I'll let you know how it works when I have it set up.

I can't wait to actually be playing a hi-hat that round robins and responds more realistically to different velocities.

In the meantime, I remind you again that I meant no offense.
Do what you think is best to do.

kind of....but it might not be a situation i can get around....i will be looking to get into a shared apartment...many , here in spain these days, have wifi thrown in to the package...this is obviously an important factor when looking for a flat...but considering i'll be homeless in 3 days time, i might not have time to be too picky.....

what i'm wondering is if the d'loads can be broken up.....i would assume that 17 gigs has some kind of break/resume download function...but if i could get the host software and then be able to d'load the independent kits seperately, this could be spread over different days at various wifi points in the city

i guess, 'gifting' someone through paypal to put the software on dvd and send it to me would be impossible from your point of view and would make this a less viable option financially for me......

it's good to know that the d'load will remain on my account...but i do actually want to be able to use it :D

i'm just not sure if all the pieces are gonna fit together

i only found out yesterday, that i had to move.....normally , i would just scrub all thoughts of this but i will regret this for a very long time if missed :help:

Rev has a point though. It is keeping the thread alive. But at the same time I agree it would be more interesting and worth "checking back" if there's some juicy convo at least on every page.
The way I do it is to check every so often and just look for bigger posts and see if it's anything there that should be of some interest. I really just don't see bronx's posts anymore (they're probably as useful as before so it's good to have them near the top of the page I guess). I do look for Sqiud's "Crime and Punishment" ways of answering questions...

Yes, there's spam (like this reply here), but so what...

ebow, if you can't afford it, you can't afford it. This may not come around again, but something else will. And your money situation may be better.

But to answer you questions further, I'm sure it will be broken up. Most esoundz downloads are broken up into packs of something just over 1 gig. And, yes, you can space out your downloads.

i can just afford it....but not if i can't access it for 6 months

1gig packets is absolutely perfect....i wonder if you could post more about the details of the d'load as and when you know more...

thanks again

To zedd, I appreciate what you wrote. No offense taken. I think we all want the same thing, but we all come at it differently. I'm not interested in the V-drums, but if it gets the numbers higher, then I'm all for it! Have you seen the drumzgal videos?

I have found that when people ask questions in these GB threads, they want to hear Squids answer. And Squids will disappear from time to time, like tonight. So somebody has to keep the thread going until Squids returns (was that book 3? The Return of the Squids). And so sometimes it's just a spammie bump!

I think Squidz would have to give you details. I'm speaking from past experience. Also from past experience, I think a 6 months wait would also work.

You can also write allen at esoundz dot com. He could also answer your question with specifics.

ebow:
1. downloads are roughly 1-2GB depending if it is stereo or multitrack kit
2. use download manager (Orbit does the job and it's free) - to resume dl sessions and speed up the dl process
3. wait few days/weeks to let people dl first than you will get a descent transfer

If you are still worried and want to "work around it". I can download the stuff for you and send to Spain on dvds for free.
