Standalone doesn't work for me (XP)- just hangs on loading.
I REALLY need a manual- I'm pretty lost!

after trying to load an external loop in standalone mode it crashed and told me this:
Debug Error!
path of location of the programm
DAMAGE: after Normal block (#86) at 0x0CB50040
that's not good, seems to be a fault on my side. Mhh.
What kind of WAV loop did you try to load? 16/24 Bits Mono/Stereo WAV (no compression)? Can you reproduce it?
yes, can reproduce it, this time it said the same:
Debug Error
blabla
DAMAGE: after Normal block (#86) at 0x0CB50040
it was a 44.1khz-24bit-stereo-file, uncompressed, it has the following info in its properties: "additional chunks: yes, Unity Note: C5, Loops One Shot"

what exactly did you do to get standalone up? Im using XP as well - all ive got is some vsthost stuff. i dont have a Livemachine.exe. Infact the extracted files from the root .rar - is a mess. I tried uninstalling and then doing it again, but its still the same. All i did was throw the entire folder into Cakewalk/VSTplugins folder. Dont even wish to move anything out of the main directory of LM until there is more info.sonicfire wrote:The manual is in the works, sorry for the delay!Aural Chaos wrote:Standalone doesn't work for me (XP)- just hangs on loading.

For now, the standalone function is just done via H.Seib's VSTHost. That's why i might say "VST Host" instead of Livemachine.exe.
To run it in VST mode simply copy and paste Livemachine (folder) and Livemachine.dll to your VSTPlugins directory - that will be enough.

Thanks Dennis - pretty much the way i have it setup already. Would look forward to using the standalone mode when its ready.
Btw - is there anyway to 'clear' or undo an individual sample/loop thats been loaded into one of the 'loopers'?
Thanks

For whatever reason, the standalone now works...maybe some problem in unpacking?
An installer would be nice, but a manual will be even nicer!

I mean the ones were its actually recorded FROM the Wav loopers - sometimes the resulting loop you have captured doesnt sit quite right. It would be nice to have an 'undo' function in the Recorded loopers.sonicfire wrote:You mean the WAV Loopers? indeed , resetting the wav-players is easy, and you can set their amount of bars easily with the knob.
itd be cool to have the loop recorders have the same functionality, where you can set their number of bars and perhaps even save the loop thats recorded, and be able to undo and reset.
but i didnt wanna bring up the undo word cause i know thats not always the easiest thing to just add once a lot of stuff has been done. just a reset and number of bars control and a "record on beat 1" setting, although i am getting better at nailing the and of 4.
to get more looper ideas you could certainly look at the mobius vst plugin, another one to look at is angstrolooper.
but i got the livemachine standalone working and also the vst plugin and im doin ok except that i end up with 1 beat loops in the loop-recorders, usually the 2nd and 3rd ones, before i get a good loop in the 4th or 5th but im certainly probably doing something stupid and just need more practice on it. it just would be nice and idiot friendly if you could simply press reset on em.

I got it running great in Samplitude.
However, hitting stop in transport doesn't stop playback of LM. (unless I missed something).
It would be great to be able to double-click on knobs to have them return to zero/center position.
A solo button on the loop channels would be awesome in the case of building long loops as whole song sequences and building in that way (expanded from all the loops being part of one performance).
I plan on testing with LONG loops like up to 30 seconds long. Will this work?
Thanks, it's a fun program.

Saaaaayyyy... you aren't really sending out a version of VSTHost together with your full version, are you?
