I had a Directwave patch on my old pc and I want to use it on my new Pc. How do I get direct wave to find the samples.

There are about 90 samples in the pacth and the key mapping is all over the place(in a good way)so I cant recreate it.

Originally the samples were on my C drive and there now on an external hardrive. Is there a way I can get DW to look on my external drive. I tried adding the drive to directories list in Fls options but it doesnt work.

Thanks

Do you have a .dwp (DW program) or .dwb (DW bank) file? If so, you can load those to get the mapping. Otherwise, you could (re)download it if it's one of the patches we provide.

Why does it keep going back to the program pages, rather than multi?

What do you mean?

Hi,

When you open a project with which the plug in is enabled, the default view of the application is Programs rather than Multi, which I feel makes it harder to use as you are not on the mixer page when it is first instanced.

Thank you

I guess it depends on how you use the plugin. I've always felt the current default is ok, and the mixer page is only one click away.

Yes, it is very good software, but for me, having things like MIDI channel and volume etc., is likely more important since I'm not really into editing samples or constructing kits.

Maybe a preference can be made, however probably Direct Wave's greatest asset is it's simplicity of use so I'd never want to detract from that as it's merely an observation I have made.

Regards
