Ahh, sorry my fault, I should have been paying better attention. I'll test those intervals to see if I can reproduce the problem. What it might be, off the top of my head, is that a different string is being used which doesn't have that note in its range--so it plays the note on a different string rather than using a legato articulation.

From what it sounds like, the interval problem is caused by a polyphony shortage. I tested it, and not having enough polyphony creates a mute/note-off sound, just as you described. Try increasing the maximum voices (and decreasing the "slide range" control) in the instrument window to see if that helps.
In the meanwhile, I've been considering creating a major update for CoreBass Pear which would use Iconic Bass: Jaco's engine. Iconic Bass: Jaco's script is far more CPU efficient, as well as having more controls, so I think it would benefit CoreBass Pear to update to that script.

Thanks Greg,
Changing max voices and decreasing the slide range didn't solve it...here at least. I should note that in the interim I've updated to Kontakt 3.5
At this point, I think we should no longer worry about this...I've been working around it when I want to use the 'legato patch', which after all, is a custom patch you made for me... And the stock patches are perfect— so, no big deal, I still get a lot out of the legato patch, and can go back to a stock patch if need be.
And...if you're thinking about a rewrite with another engine, your time is much better spent there.
Thanks so much for your efforts!
