Well, in many ways polished can mean "compressed and eq'd" or perhaps reverb processing as well. If one does that at the sample stage then the drums can all come out BLAM in your face, sparkly twinkly. We resist the urge to do that so people could say the same thing. Instead our goal is for it to sound good but be unprocessed at the sample stage so you can do your own processing... this is how I personally like to have it. BUT, now with the new scripts we also make use of the internal built-in effects of Kontakt to also get you polished or slamming in your face rock drum sounds too right out of the box... the difference being that you can still tweak it if it is at the software level as opposed to at the sample level. So you can add even MORE compression or you can dial it back... or use it with no internal effects and run it though high end external effects like you see in products such as T-RackS 3, UAD, Waves... to me that is one of the main things those plug-ins are for! To run a good source of unprocessed instruments through them... whether that is LIVE if you have your own full blown recording studio and/or even if you do to be able to run samples that were recorded in a wide variety of studios from Ocean Way to studios all over the place (London, NY, Miami, Nashville) through your favorite plug-ins... most of our stuff is designed with that possibility in mind.zedd wrote: Personally I don't get that whole "polished" thing. I find Squids' kits to be much more sonically pleasing.
I'm thinking I'm thinking! Got a few things in mind.autodafe wrote:Squids, you better find something else to give us, and do it quick !!!
Paypals take longer to update since the two different product orders have to be combined. I guess there were about 4 other people thinking they'd be the 300th too!autodafe wrote:numbers are now updated and the total just jumped to 304 !!!
Thanks Autodafe! coffee time againautodafe wrote:don't know why, but the counter still shows 299...However, my paypal order has been confirmed and I received an email confirmation...

Not that I like to quote myself, but just in case this Q got overlooked...someone called simon wrote:Hey, can anyone point me to a page where I can listen to some of the Drum Masters sounds? I found a drum masters page on esoundz but can't seem to match up any of the kits listed here with whats on there. Maybe they don't match??
