Hello
I am a music maker by ear.
I only dabble in learning theory.
I just play what sounds and feels right...
I am currently composing a song which I've worked of this run of notes:
Eb Gb Ab A Bb Db D Eb
What scale is this?
Also I'm wanting to add some harmonica and am trying to purchase one to fit the track.
What would you suggest as a proper key for the harmonica?
Eb?
Thanks for any help you may have as its much appreciated!
What scale is this and what kind of harmonica should I buy to play in it? Thanks...

That's a kind of blues scale based on tonic = Eb.
To get a blues mode out of a harp, you don't use a diatonic Marine Band Harmonica of that key, actually, because you get that sort of old Bob Dylan corny major key thing going when you do. I think you want an Ab harp for Eb Blues.
For instance, it will give you that Db. The Eb harp won't, not easily. Things such as that Ab A Ab, Db D Eb, you learn to bend into the notes which aren't diatonically available to you on that kind of harp... or, you get a chromatic harp, which generally isn't used for a 'blues harp' kind of style.
