Wow!! I bow to the master!! That was the best Joe Satriani parody I've ever heard (read!). And it totally sums up this 63-page thread (in under 3 minutes). Not name dropping per se but a good buddy of mine is the production manager for Coldplay, used to work with The Bare Naked Ladies. If he's around this X-mas I'll query him about their gear.

By the way, the singer from Bare Naked Ladies uses our stuff. I just put together a huge package of things for him. He is managed by Rush's label so it was through their A&R guy who is a friend... he's he one who made the Neil Peart thing happen. Small world interconnected.

We're all 6 degrees away from each other anyway because believe it or not Kevin Bacon uses our sounds too! I am not kidding. He has a band with his brother and he showed up at NAMM to tell us a few years ago. There's a picture somewhere. Pretty funny. I love the movie Diner which I think was his best role personally... but then I also love Barfly and movies like that so I am not so mainstream really. Not a Footloose fan.

Squids, well since all manner of poetic whimsy and lyricizing is taking place here, a quick note on the cinematic front. Not sure if your reference to Barfly was Bacon-specific or simply tying in to Diner genre-wise...but just in case -Barfly had Micky Rourke, not Keven Bacon in it. As much as you quote movie lines though I'm sure you know that! I agree, Diner was really great, both for Bacon and Rourke and the whole damn cast!)
