RMV synth engine....any chance?

i'm currently in the process of re-installing rmv with its 3 gb library with the intention of using it mainly as a dedicated drum synth. so my vote also goes for a drumsynth plugin from linplug (without such a big library which i will not need). if you still follow this idea i hope it's not too late seeing that audiodamage is about to release tatoo.

why not just add a synth only version to the package? RMV can be a bit intimidating with all the stuff inside. I love both, the sampled stuff and the synth engine. There is no better drum synth, i know.

If you don't like the drumcore Library you can delete all your files....

@xenox, sorry, frank, i didn't want to sound rude. i like rmv a lot, but still the thought of a dedicated linplug drumsynth is intriguing (and it seems i'm not the only one who would love such a plug).

why? i love all the stuff, but an additional synth only version would do no harm and get a lotta loveXenox.AFL wrote:If you don't like the drumcore Library you can delete all your files....

Nice when you love the library but when i read your text it sounds to me: RMV sounds great, but only the synth engine and i don't need that big core library which is lying for nothing on my harddrive.

point is
it's a very good synth engine
shame to clutter it up
atm i'm using synths for each drum sound
would be cool to have it all in one place

no no Frank, i love the sampled stuff as well, but for completely different reasons. It's just my way of adjustment, my workflow. I'd like to have (like FXPansion do with Synth Squad and U-He with Filterscape/Podolski and Zebra/Zebralette) these smaller modules for a better workflow. Sometimes when i open RMV i feel lost, because of the sheer overflow of possibilites and sometimes i feel quite well with it.Xenox.AFL wrote:Nice when you love the library but when i read your text it sounds to me: RMV sounds great, but only the synth engine and i don't need that big core library which is lying for nothing on my harddrive.

You're right with the overflow, sometimes it's better to go back to the roots...
I have dun the same for me months ago, i did to many sounds and sampels and so i stopped everything just to make "music"... That's the main point why we are..
