nice prices, nice looking effects... i (once again) have an excuse to try the VSTAU plugin to see if these work as AU's in logic with that wrapper. i have been talking about trying that for weeks.

if it works.i'll gladly pickup these cheap plugs! love me some distortion.

I guess Rectifuzz and Brass Buster are on the weird side. Some people might get a bit disturbed by how twisted they sound.
I think that kind of "passive ring modulation + fuzz" wasn't much covered in vsts.

Kung Fuzz can fit more situations and sources because it's pretty raw.

Compañero is a one trick fuzz that works better on guitars than on grand pianos for sure.

EZ-Driver is more classic distortion. It was inpired by OCD stomp box, and it does a very good job on A/B comparisons as far as my tests goes. It is the most subtle of the lot I guess.

Muffin Rider should please many people, as Big Muff is pretty popular and there are not so many VSTs emulations of it.
I had a hard time on that one, because the "diodes loop" in the gain stages brings some very unusual distortion.
I might add other versions of that famous fuzz (triangle, black russian, ramhead). they introduce slight differences in the relative volumes, bias, clipping between stages, so although they all sound alike, there are some differences that make it interesting to try them all. The triangle model I did (unreleased) sound "cleaner" which make it interesting for different stuff. Gilmour used triangle version and ramhead a lot I think.

No mac version planned yet unfortunately. Maybe later.

The brassmaster looks really weird. The orange triangle reminds me of that "reactor" album by Neil Young.
Looks really clumsy.

These look nice. I tried to download the freebie but the latest firefox and iexplorer both don't seem to work. Either that or the download link is simply broken. When i click on download for Metal Clone it takes me to Kung Fuzz page.

Alternative or direct link please?

I'll definately be getting EZ-Driver. Sounds sublime. Kung Fuzz 68 is OK but it didn't grab me. Testing the others to see if it's worth getting the bundle. If I can find 1 or 2 more that I like then the bundle is a true no-brainer. A TUBE DRIVER clone would be so sweet!

I was looking at your site before reading this 2nd page here, and I had a slight hunch the EZ-Driver is a Fulltone OCD emulation. I got to try that pedal out on someones nice Vox amp with a Les Paul, and that pedal gave the Vox gobs of gained warm distortion and sustain, without sounding harsh like the Boss DS-1 can get if the tone knob is not properly set just right.

These distortion FX are just awesome. The sound just like the real deal, and the GUIs are just phenomenal. I just love those GUIs. I can't believe how good they look, to be honest. Really blows my mind.

I can imagine that other stuff (guitars, basses, among other things) he releases in the future will sound and look just as good as these little gems.

The good thing is that if I can ever get my fingers to work properly so I can learn and play guitar (and get my fingers recondition for bass), I'll have a great time running it through these pedals, for sure.

Of course, I might be better learning on a friend's acoustic and go from there, and then I will get a better idea before jumping into the deep end.

I know he will eventually release his long-awaited virtual string-based instruments. It's not a question of if, it's really a question of when.

I can tell you 2009 is completely out of the equation without any doubt. 2010? Even then I still seriously doubt it. 2011 would be a more appropriate guess given my innate capacity to foretell when things happen. You know, I have pretty much never ever been wrong when predicting when things will be released. Like about 90% of the video games I ever bought

I remember when Cognitone released Synfire Pro at the end of 2008. You know 2 years earlier I remember reading "Presumably, the first half of 2007." and you know, I thought, yeah right

, I would think at least early 2008, maybe even early 2009. Well, let me tell you it was the end of 2008 before I saw anything of MPS/Synfire. Guess what? I was proven right...just like I have been on most things...

Ya know it seems like I've spent about 60% of my life waiting, 30% sleeping, and 10% actually doing stuff - apart from my day job, of course but when I'm working I'm pretty much waiting for the mid-morning and lunch breaks so yeah, that is counted as waiting, too
