Hey, thanks. I am glad you like the EZ Driver. It's a subtle one and I was wondering if it would grab some attention.
Kung Fuzz is pure fuzz

(based on fuzzface/fulltone 69). It certainly is raw and doesn't have the warmth of EZ Driver. Companero has some filtering so it is less harsh. Also try the Muffin Rider which has more gain stages and a much smoother tone.

It's the chandler model isn't it? opamps and 2 tubes?
Seems straightforward at a first look at the schematics (I mean compared to the sansamp or metal zone...).
Guess the tubes are a key factor here.
I mostly worked on opamps and transistors in the current bunch, so this might be a nice one to try out.
Did you two already used the real thing?

I've used the Tube Driver. Somehow, it has a transparent and uniquely colored tone at the same time. It's got quite a distinct sound that's different from anything else! Butler is the true creator (not Chandler). The pre-Chandler models are what people covet. Eric Johnson and David Gilmour are the best known users of this pedal.

That Butler site also have some interesting page about tubes.
It confirms the fact tubes and transistors self bias, while opamps don't.
Kung Fuzz, companero, Muffin Rider, Rectifuzz and Brass buster are all transistor based and all auto bias more or less.
In the case of rectifuzz, it's one mandatory behaviour actually.

EZ-Driver and Metal Clone are opamp based and do not auto bias.
EZ-Driver has a special way to clip though, which gives it a warm sound and let higher notes in a chord pass through when they are kicked off the tresholds in basic clipping.

I have downloaded NoAmp and MetalClone twice and both times 7Zip said that the files were broken and Tracktion won't load the dll.

Is anyone else having trouble?

I just downloaded MC again, and it worked well.
Try winrar maybe or another unpacking tool.

Man, these are just GREAT! They sound really transparent and have lots of tones inside. Very dynamic and capable of pro-quality sound. Nice work

King Fuzz 68 is the VST Fuzz I've been hoping for. Super raw, almost square-like.

I get a massive CLUNK when I load any of these in Ableton Live 8.1 (WindowsXP/SP3).

It is normal to have a short peak on loading, due to some DC offset inside the effects. It gets hi-passed though, just like in analogue pedals.
But nothing "massive" happenning on my setup. I guess it can get louder depending on what's after it in the chain.

Ok, i tried them in Live on demo loops, and had no problem at all (HP laptop, Vista, AMD XD dual core 2.00Ghz, onboard sound device with asio4all).
