Wait a sec, Squidz, aren't you nearby in Miami? Shouldn't you be underwater right now? Oh wait... Squidz...

Been lurking here since post #1. I will be joining soon and working on recruiting others. I will use mind-control if neccessary...

Top of the page, so here is the link for the group buy: http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?Prod ... ode=USDKVR

We are at 357 right now. We're moving those numbers!

I just had a look at South FL radar. Looks wet! We've also had a day of it here in GA. Rain, rain everywhere!

We have a new mind-control custom map option as well. It has a "mind learn" features which learns what kind of music you like and automatically adapts the mix to suit your taste!

Kidding aside, sounds good Rocketeer! Rock on.

It's wet and gloomy but in a cool way, not in a "brown out" kind of way which is not cool when that happens. Knock on wood.

What if I was to tell you that even though we haven't reached 400 yet I was going to give you all OWD Kit 10 Medium NOW for free (even if you didn't join the group buy - although if you don't own Infinite Player it will run only in Demo Mode)?

Don't get too excited. I am just experimenting here but I am 90% sure the NKM kit file I have here with the new scripts, an Info folder with some graphics and the NKX of Kit 10 medium which you can download for FREE in the "Free Soundz" section of www.esoundz.com will work with the Kontakt Player 3.5 you can get for free as well from NI (if you don't already have it).

If so... ya want it? Might be fun to play OWD kits with round robin over the weekend... a good conversation piece about the new features perhaps? Hmm? Hmmm? Danny? And after you mow the lawn why don't you drop by the old yacht club? Okay? alright alright... (Name the movie for 5 epointz - hint, it's not the usual suspects).

Is it Caddyshack?

I may have found a good way you can all try this out for yourselves. It requires picking up a few things from different places and putting a few things into the right folders (which I can explain a step by step - not hard). You'd need this:

1. Kontakt Player 3.5 from Native Instruments (you can download it for free from their web site).

2. Ocean Way Drums Kit 10 Medium FREE which you can download from the "Free Soundz" section of http://www.esoundz.com

3. This is the part I am not 100% about yet but I think it will at least allow you to try this out in "demo mode" (which Kontakt's limitation is 30 minutes per session and then it times out and you have to restart again). It would be a "Kit Patch" (called an "NKM" - which is a "Multi" in Kontakt) along with an "info" folder that has the necessary graphics.

On the number three part because it would not be the normal installation method you might have to "search samples" and point to the OWD Kit 10 m's NKX file or the folder that has it from the download... this part you normally don't have to do by the way but in this case it might be necessary. Not a big deal really but just don't think it is normally this many steps is all I'm saying.

Let me know if you want to try this out! If so I will explain each panel and how it works. I might have to do some actual family things tonight and tomorrow but I will pop in here and there over the weekend to do a little getting started tutorial or something like that. I might do it in our company forum on KVR. Still working on audio demos and hopefully video demos if we can pull it off in time. I might have to do "quick videos" now and more "pro videos" later... that's more realistic because people are going on holiday vacations and all that. Not full staffed around this time. But suffice to say there will be loads of demonstrations for Drum Masters 2 coming as the product - the actual main product - gets launched next month.

I would jump up and down for joy! :hyper:

Even as I was reading this thread I was thinking "I wish there was at least one kit that we could play with to try out these new features and get a feel for things". And then you just posted this.

Thanks!

I do suggest that you make it very clear WHICH version of the kit we are supposed to download from the free section. It is still confusing on that page with OWD versions for Reason and MOTIF dominating the top of the page.

I bumped the Sony Media thread

with the info on the coupons. Any help would be appreciated.

I get an error "This patch is encrypted and cannot be loaded unless the respective library is registered properly" in Kontact Player 2, Kontact 3 & Kontact 4.

edit to add: I downloaded this copy of the kit in late August - it may have been updated since.

I'm gonna quote myself because I edited my previous post and added this, but it overlapped with a Squids post, so you might have missed it Squidly.

Also, someone talking about this in another forum was concerned about the round robin feature because he had experienced a product where some of the round robin samples were too different from one another and actually detracted from the drum performance (which I'm sure is probably not the case with these kits).

But in any case I told him that I believe that with this collection we have the option to select or omit which drum hits are included in the round robin. Was I correct in saying this?
