- Ocean Way Drums Kits (included in the deal) require the OWD Player (to be purchased).

I guess the confusion comes from the fact that the kits can be played in Kontakt (without) the player. However, it is essential to have the player (has to be registered) as it "unlocks" the kits to Kontakt.

Not quite.

From the Ocean Way® Drums DL Series (note: these are specialized kits customized for this group buy only and do not require the Ocean Way Drums Expandable Player but work with the Infinite Player):

You get Infinite Player in the GB. It will play all the kits in the GB.

Kontakt 3.5/4 will also play those kits, but only if the Infinite Player software is installed and Authorized.

Zomby that what I wasn't sure about. How the OWD kits could be played without a dedicated player. What you said makes perfect sense to me but any confirmation would be greatly appreciated.
