RMV 5.0.5 - strange flange-like / pitch-bend / amp effect in Ableton 8.1

Hi there,

I'm in love with RMV, but I've encountered an odd problem that, unless I can solve it, will render it unusable as a drum machine for me.

To sum it up: I've begun to notice semi-random pitch/volume changes when triggering samples, and these changes are not caused by anything I can pinpoint. I'm not sure when it started: I didn't notice it up until last night (I've been using the software in earnest for a week now).

I've tried turning off all of the filter / LFO / velocity / varizer settings and making sure that all of the velocities I'm sending RMV are at 'full' 127. It happens with all samples and in all of the versions of RMV (8, 20, 32). I've also checked CPU useage, and it happens when my system is not at all taxed.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

going by the "flange-like" wording in your title, are you sure you are not triggering it while simultaneously using the playback inside the plugin? ie it's doubling up the beat?
I've done that many times after dragging a loop out into the timeline.

Your tip helped me solve the problem. It appears my keyboard controller was sending signals on the midi channels used to trigger the loops, so limiting the input in Ableton to the channel used only for the drum pads solved the problem. Of course I could always change the controller and/or RMV midi channel setup, too.
