Ok, ready to go! Someone post the PayPal link. Yes, I could go back and find it, but that way we keep the thread bumping.

So here's one of my "brush with the famous" stories. When I was a lowly studio intern (as opposed to being a lowly whatever I am now!), I worked briefly at a certain studio here in Miami where a certain Irish band was working on an album. Anyway,as Squiddy has explained before, it's a big no-no to talk to the talent unless they address you, so even though I was a huge fan, I never really saw them and I just made coffee (and as I tell my students/minions/bandmates now, always make bad coffee, so they'll make you do something more interesting!)and did my best to be invisible.

A few months later, I went to see them at our local stadium (go Fins!), and I was backstage. I'm standing there and who's next to me but, well, we'll call him "the Hedge." He proceeds to ask me what i thought of the show, which was great, and then spends the next few minutes telling me where he made mistakes and how it's important not to repeat them, because (paraphrasing) he didn't want to "disappoint" anyone. Ha! Super nice guy. Now, I'm never star-struck or anything, but this is one of two or three people who reduce me to a blubbering pile of jelly, as I learned to play by playing along with his records.I think maybe I saw him once the whole time they were recording (which I think was two weeks), and I don't even remember it.

Imagine my shock when some management-type dragged him away and he said "nice talking to you, great coffee man!"

Awesome.:)

Ok, it says "won't work with group buy" in the checkout page. Is that to be ignored?

Ignore that, and go for it! Seriously, several people have done it. I think the warning was put there to stop people until the lowest price was reached. And remember that it is handled manually, so you won't get anything until Allen gets in (Friday or Monday) a sends out the email. In fact, I'd suggest writing Allen and telling him you signed up through paypal. His address is allen at esoundz dot com.

Done! Enjoy your pointz, Rev!

It still says 422 on the site, but I'm 423 I guess. Yay!

Squids wrote:If you want to know what it was, you will probably laugh, but it was because we were calling the "slots" for where you could put the toms and cymbals "positions". I never liked that but as I was explaining it to people -especially e-Drummers who think of positions more as "positions of the snare" (such as the position sensing of a TD20) I thought that we were really asking for confusion there... so a terminology thing like that actually takes days to fix. But I think it is more clear that you have these open "slots" to put kit pieces into as opposed to them being called "positions" which is just not the right word. We actually had this for the toms in DM1. There wasn't much confusion though but still... there are HUNDREDS of people in this group buy and we are going to do unprecedented tutorials on how it all works so I want it to go smooth.
No... I think it was a very wise decision for you to correct this, and it is appreciated. I agree that they should be called slots.

I was among those who were confused by the toms in Infinite Player when it first came out, not understanding why there were extra "positions" even though there were no drums loading into those slots. A lot of that initial confusion was a result of there not being an Infinite Player manual. I would hope that over the past year you have actually created an Infinite Player manual so that new users will be better able to understand how to load kits and adjust settings for optimum use. Kontakt can be a little overwhelming for a first time user.

Hmmm, got an email from support @ esoundz that was totally blank. Maybe they're trying to get me to stare at my monitor... MUST... PURCHASE... SOUNDS...

I bought this AND Steven Slate as to me, they serve to totally different purposes. There's gonna be quite a racket in the house...

If I remember correctly, the blank email is common for paypal at esoundz. Just write Allen or support and he'll make sure you get fixed up.

We're at 422 presently, but we're looking to take this past 500!

Then we'll talk 600!
This GB is attracting lots of attention we hit the maximum level so soon that Squids was left scratching his head as to what to offer. Sorry for going offtopic but I wonder why the Reason one didn't quite take off, it was every bit as good.
I wondered that myself. Right now, there is a refill gb being promoted here on kvr, and it doesn't have that many people. And the product is really good. :?:
This isn't the best place to promote anything for Reason. I don't know if there is a KVR-like place for Reason but if there was then that would be the ideal place to do it... or WITH Propellerheads which is an option except that they'd probably look at me and say "A group what? We're busy here Dave". It's pretty unusual - even we're all used to it around here! You should have seen the confusion when I tried to explain it to the OW guys. They were like "What? How does this work again? Uh, I don't know... sounds complicated." So, believe me, besides getting an agreement about the number of kits and the low price I also had to somehow convince them and other artists involved that this IS something people enjoy us doing... and well it IS a bit complicated but since it is only a hundred bucks it is more of a fun thing to participate in... plus with the deal getting better and better the more people join it just becomes ridiculously good.

So, yeah, if we break 500 then we'll start talking about what you guys get if we hit 600... you still have time. Anything can happen. It can only get better yet the price stays the same.
