Sorry i thought you worked for Waldorf and might have some inside info.

I was surprised it didn't get addressed in the update so i assumed it must be performance related. Largo is too cpu hungry for my system anyway but would be good to know cause of slow gui for future when i buy next laptop.

Will wait to hear from Waldorf.

That has got to be one of the shittiest license "agreement" clauses I've read - how is that even legal? Companies go on about how people don't own software but license it (from them). So if someone's HD fails the company should replace your license - they have your money, they must have a record of purchase, they should therefore replace it if lost through no fault on the user's part.

Do all soft versions of the eLicenser have this sort of license "agreement" (not that anyone would agree to it if they had the choice)

Honestly, I couldn't be f**ked with these stupid license agreements. The only things I use are an iLok and a Syncrosoft dongle plugged in a 2x USB adapter dongle. Pain in the arse.

The activation code which comes with the Largo package can only be used once to activate it. If you lost your Largo activation, you can request a new activation code through support@waldorfmusic.de. For that, we need the following information:

* Copy of the purchase bill
* Activation code
* SeL number of the original installation (write down the number right after installing Largo for the first time)
* SeL number of the new installation

I imagine the only reason there's a 'soft' version is so many people seem to have philosophical problems using a USB 'dongle' - if they required a 'dongle' then this issue wouldn't exist. I guess some companies don't expect you to re-install your operating system on a regular basis.

* AMD Athlon, 800 MHz or better
* 64 MB free RAM
* VST 2.4 compatible host software that supports virtual instruments, such as Cubase VST or higher, Cubase SX/SL, Nuendo 1.5 or better
* PC equipped according to the specifications of the VST host software

Macintosh

* Mac OS X 10.3.9 or better
* PowerPC: G4, 800 MHz or better
* Intel: any processor
* 64 MB free RAM
* VST 2.4 compatible host application that supports virtual instruments, such as Cubase SX/SL, Nuendo 1.5 or better
or
* AudioUnit 2.0 compatible host application that supports AudioUnit Instruments, such as Apple Logic or GarageBand
* Macintosh equipped according to the specifications of the host software

From the reports of its CPU usage I'm guessing the synth probably isn't for you if your CPU is old.

I guess if you pass the spec test then the next step is to just d/load and try it.

should be ok then, mine is an Athlon XP3000+ (2.16Gig) with 512RAM
