Yes. The ODD GROOVES are more prog and classic rock grooves. Per can talk more about them since he's also participated in the group buy AND provided those grooves. So big thank you to Per and Odd Grooves!

The Squidi Midi (silly name) is the first release of finger drum programmed grooves that I do on iMap. So some of it is funky and groovy and some of it is fusion nuts... some of it is straight forward pop, hip hop, rock and classic rock styles too. I didn't do song form this time. But if we do a bunch of song form stuff we'll make it available for free to ALL Infinite Player users how's that? I know some of you want that. The other thing coming (not in this GB yet but coming in 2010) are midi grooves from the master players in the series. We captured midi triggers when they played most of the time or some of them are coming to the SR studio to do V-Drum midi capture (like Danny Gottlieb who is a good friend of mine, Nick D'Virgilio in LA and John Blackwell who doesn't live too far away). So midi libraries will grow from us - particularly ones that take advantage of the additional performance articulations which make those midi files come ALIVE.
Any song form midi would be very helpfull to me and I suspect others glad it's being considered
:)

Which Blackwell Tama kit? The brush kit (also included as an STm kit in this GB) OR the stick kit from DM1?

Is the "Chicago Gretsch kit" the same as this OmniDrummer Gretsch kit? If not, I'm confused because after doing some searching it seems, there are several different "Gretsch" kits in Drum Masters :?
The STm/DM2 version of the stick kit. Yes the Brush Kit is also included.

Yes that's the one but this one is more elaborate than the one we did for the OmniDrummer/DrumCore/KitCore line. That one was just GM and this one is full iMap etc.

Squids wrote: Oh... that was a good post I did a million pages ago about iMap with the image. If anyone can find that we can put it in this thread for easy access: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 86#3917086
Has anyone besides Squids (the creator of iMap) actually mastered this layout with finger drumming? If so, I will GLADLY pay a fair price for a video tutorial ;) :D

I seem to be stuck with the simplicity of GM  Thought the benefits of iMap are clear watching Dave work his magic. Problem is...I haven't seen anyone else drum on the keyboard that way. Hmmmm, I'm starting to think it's all a conspiracy :P

Yep, that's the new default. If anyone wants it the way I like it they can ask me and I will give them my personal patches the other way. Yours is how most people will want it so you win. ;)

:wheee: :wheee: :wheee:
All I ask is that you also include Sonic Reality in your sig. ;)
can i do that ??..l don't mind...if it's not gonna result in my banning or the smiting of my firstborn

logic pro , mbp 2.33, 3g, camelaudio/NI/fabfilter/spectrasonics and ESPECIALLY Sonic Reality!

Hmmm...the group buy page only lists this kit in STm format: Drum Masters 2 JB Tama® Brush Kit

Maybe I missed something? So, we get BOTH Blackwell Tama kits (brush and stick) in STm and an option to ALSO select the multitrack version of the stick kit?

Yes, you must have missed the part about two EXTRA kits being added if you hit 600 (and that we were going to add them even if you didn't cuz we're nice). Those are:

JB Tama STm Kit (with sticks)
Chicago Gretsch Kit (also with sticks)

So... TWO MORE! That makes it a total of Eighty... oh I lost count.

Btw there's also really 3 times that because we've saved each kit back into GM, iMap or V-Drum for your convenience (the custom e-Drum mode you'd have to set yourself which is the whole point of that one).

The "e-Drum" mode is equivalent to the "midi learn" feature...correct?

Finally i jumped. Always knew i would but waited till the bitter end. Amazing group buy, thanks for your dedication Squids, and the others pushing this one and helping so much (you know who you are)

I won't be in a mad rush to download, In fact with high pay-per-mb charges in NZ I will probably split it over 2 or 3 ISP billing periods.

points went to michael2, the first GB participant to leave his details after I posted at macosxaudio.com

Yes. Actually it is called "Custom" in the GUI. I just call it e-Drum because that's what it is for... midi learn to whatever controller you have. By the way to do that is a slight PITA once. But I will show everyone how to do it. Easy but a bit time consuming because you have to do it for each kit you want to control and then save the patch back. But once you do it you're home free. At least it has a quick remap feature at all!
