Many times I tryed contact Waldorf support but no answer.
I think they are idiots, because I spend money for largo and now its half year and still cant use it, because if I have automated parameters GUI is absolutly slow and unusable. :(
Maybe they don't know how to fix it ;) Anyway, i don't know why people like this shit so much. It doesn't sound good at all + it's cpu heavy + it's full of bugs + shit support = avoid.

just my 2 cent..
Yes.. I think too tey dot know how to fix it.. Its a seckond update from release..
For mac users everyting works perfect :?

About sound .. ithink its sounds good but on 96khz... I think Waldorf Q , Blofeld runs inside at 96khz...

I think Largo is hungry for graphic RAM. I have Graphic card with 256mb RAM and solow GUI there too. I will buy toomorow new card with 1GB RAM and will let know if it works.

What card you use ? haw much RAM card have ?
As for me, i have 256 RAM card. Interesting to know how it will work after your upgrading. I have laptop, so i don't have any chance to upgrade anyway.

Hi ekeaze. Waldorf already know about this problem(too many reports now). Yes, with automated parameters with open GUI, CPU and RAM are dead. I'm 100% sure they will release special FIX patch or something soon.
And btw, may you please edit one negative words in your message, they don't deserve it and they are watching this thread. I had never problems with support and Holger with Wolfram always responding to me really fast.
As for me, i think it's graphic bug.

It's not CPU heavy, if they fix this graphic bug. Besides this, i can't see any bugs in 1.5 version. Now tell me, where exactly you see "not good sound", honestly?
For me, it's just fantastic sound that rarely can be found. Waldorf always was famous on this.
And what synths sound good for you?

I tested the very very first demo, and that was kinda cpu-heavy. Even i have kinda powerful computer, but cpu-usage isn't the biggest problem. The sound it only biggest and deal breaker for me. It just sound thin. Just like 95% soft synths does.

I use only V-Station, Sylenth1 and Synthmaster. These can only satisfied my needs. V-Station and sylenth1 for all-round sounds and synthmaster for bass as it has very very balanced and fat lowend.

These are just mine opinions, so don't start to fight.

Peace

Really sorry man... No I dont delete any words, because I spend money for something and I cant use it for half year ! I hope you undrerstand me.
If you will buy some HW synth and synth will not work properly.. whaht you do ?
I cant do nothing with Largo , only wait and hope they will repair it soon.
But some possitive what I can say is this : Yes Largo soud fantstics, GUI is realy transparent and very nice... but I cant use it :?

My opinion is that besides the new browser (and some other things...) one of the best features of version 1.5 are the new presets, especially the pads. Just awesome !!

PS: I hope that the remaining bugs will be solved soon...

If they fix this GUI issue I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Would also be great if they'd issue a Win 7-compatible Attack, without needing that Win XP key tweak.

Ok sounds a bit weird but i solved my sluggish GUI issue....I open Largo in Cubase 5 in the VST-Rack...then I activate all 4 virtual outputs from Largo ....In the output section from largo i change from "part" to "layer" ...im not sure but maybe its a problem with the outputs...when i set back to "part" I realised that only part 1 has this sluggish behavior.

At the moment everything is running smooth....weird but it works here.

sorry for mistakes im f*****g tired

This is why i wait for a demo. If i'd have bought Largo blindly i'd be in the same position as you now. :(

I hope it gets fixed asap! :)

I won't put my hand on fire for this company but here goes my test...

CPU overload NO (less than 5%)
RAM consumption:
Only Live 8.1 975 MB (lots of stuff)
Live + 1 largo instance 1,280 MB
Live + 2 largo instances 1,690 MB
Live + 3 large instances 2,100 MB

I tweaked everything as a new microwave oven and found no GUI problems.

CPU Intel QX6700 2.66 GHz
RAM 4GB
Windows XP SP3
Graphic card Radeon X1650 512 MB

When using Logic's Virtual Keyboard, Largo missing notes, or stuck on some of them.
I never seen this problem in another instrument (and I have lot of them).

Also It doesnt happent when using normal midi keyboard.

Please check this video:

what happens in 00:02-00:03 and then between 00:20 - 00: 25...
also I have sylenth1 after largo just for check that my system is fine.

Anoying because I don't carry midi keys with my laptop.
Anyone have this problem ?

kind regards,
Bill.

I will try it,if this configuration possible in Energy XT2(or Reaper at least)

Added later:
No, it doesn't work for me in EnergyXT2 and Reaper.
I even can say more, when Largo GUI is open and I just move my mouse cursor on Largo surface(without touching knobs), then I get CPU spikes up to 35%. This happen only with Largo GUI, others synths don't behave like this. When i touching the knobs then CPU spikes are up to 65%. I hope this is important info.

Ingonator wrote:Besides the new features in the OSCs, the Arp/Sequencer and the browser many of the new presets are really awesome. I really like the new pads since wavescanning synths are perfect for that category.

BTW in the new Ableton Live 8.1.1 beta 5 (installed today...) Largo seems to run quite stable, let's see how long... :?
Now it seems to be sure that Ableton Live 8.1 was one of the causes for problems:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... sc&start=0

Still getting some crashes with Live 8.1.1 from time to time. Hope they'll fix it as soon as possible. I could also use Reaper but i like Ableton Live much more.

On the other hand I must admit that there really seems to be a kind of "memory leak" with Largo so it also "contributes" to the instability issues. I am getting fewer or no crashes with other plugins like e.g. Synth Squad or Alchemy.
