Could someone take a look at this patch? (Where's mod coming from?)

Hey,

Here's a little patch I'm working on. Just a simple poly synth patch. The thing is, the brightness is being modulated but I don't know why. I don't have any filter mod going on, but the brightness of the sound changes with successive keys being played. I'm sure I'm overlooking something simple but I can't figure it out.

Could anyone take a look and see what I'm missing? I'd like to get rid of that so I can modulate the brightness by velocity (easy enough, but want to get rid of the seemingly random modulation going on first).

Thanks!

Hi Echoes,

Just below where it says "OSC 1" on the object itself it says "eleven". Click on that and change it to "single".

Here's what's happening in your patch currently by the way:

Echoes, if you want the sound to be consistent across notes you should disable free-running oscillators by ENABLING the button circled below:Image
In free running mode some of the oscillators will start in different wave phases which can cancel out some of the harmonics thus making the sound less bright. If they all start in the same phase with |<] turned on you'll be all set.

Cool, thanks guys. Enabling the phase reset does the trick. Definitely want to keep it on eleven, not single.

cheers
