Question: I have been keeping up with the threads and kind of know what is going on. Why has'nt anything been released for download yet? Some of us working stiffs only have a few days off for New Years and it would be nice to be able to get a few of these multiple downloads out of the way. Seems like the players should at least be made available if not some of the drum files. I know you tripled your expectations but you guys had a month to prepare let alone pre-release planning time. I was told by phone that downloads would start sometime on Friday (nothing) I got up early on Sat to get a jump on a connection still (nothing) I have have drums to use (BFD, Battery, Kontakt, Session) but I don't have a lot of free time to download a lot of files. Hope there is an adequate period for downloads for the 600 of us on each phase of release. :?

Well there might be some "movement". Yesterday I got three items in my Group buy Download section [account]. Twoo kit packs plus MIDI grooves bonus I managed to download. However still I'm missing Infinite Player and Convolution impulses. Following Install-manual has to be download player first>unpacked and than with ziped kit files in directory install player [ziped kit files will be installed within] I think we have to wait a bit more. Happy New Year to all.

My reading of that thread is a saga of pure misery. People waiting and waiting. People having trouble with authorisation of their Infinite player. My life does not need the chaos. I am going to wait a few days until eSoundz has picked their trousers back up from around their ankles and then we'll see. I think I am going to be up in the wee small hours downloading, as a consequence. I hate that.

Squids is a nice guy and the deal is good but I also think his customers have been more than patient with him. In effect, he's taken the money and not yet delivered. That's not good behaviour, no matter how nice a guy you are or how good the promised deal sounds. Lots of promises have already been broken.

I don't like what I'm reading. I'm in the group buy and was about to check it out but if I can't get everything I paid for at once, I'd rather wait. Sounds like it's turning out to be a big hassle. Why?

It's a LOT of stuff - like 30 different products in one. We ran into delays and certainly not for a lack of trying it was next to impossible to get everything able to be downloaded and right over the weekend. I don't want to throw anyone from my team under the buss or anything but some poor decisions were made in my absence as a cherry on the cake. It is being worked on and corrected now that I am back.

There are a few things that sound like a hassle but really they're not that bad. Just a lot of different components involved. If you get frustrated by any of that then yes by all means just wait until Tuesday when the dust has settled and everything is all together. Monday is the first actual day with everyone IN the office with the T1 line so things can be uploaded in an efficient manner. We apologize for the delay. It would have been a LOT longer if it was a disc that was shipped to you. Considering this is going to be multiple large sized downloads it is not something "quick" anyway (also not with over 600 people downloading it). This is a KILLER deal. The trade-off is that it requires patience for delivery and it will all be worth it.

And you can wait and order later in the week. You can still buy the group buy for 2 more weeks. I am sure you will see everything straightened out. You'll be happy.

The reality of the business world is that things get delayed over the holidays, people have lives families commitments that are more important than work , thats the spirit of the holidays. Esoundz has more than made up for any delays in my mind through all the extra bonuses of the group buy and the piano given to us as a thank you for bearing with them. Plus remember this is a 17 gig content delivery that is a new product realisticaly it is expected there are complications ,equipment malfunctions human error ect but they are making it right. How many 17 gig download products are there that are this complicated its not just one guitar or piano it is over 28 individual kits and files. Squidz and company have a loyal customer in me and I look forward to spending my epointz and hard earned cashola on them.peace.
Nobody's a nobody...

I think this (and all that followed) is a very thoughtful post.

I would add, though, that it might have been a good idea to keep the participants in this group buy informed of the progress of the situation via news on the esoundz website. If in the news section there we were told that things would trickle into our download areas over the course of the next few days, much consternation might be avoided.

It's possible that this word did go out and I overlooked it. If so, apparently others did as well. Like most, I am patient when I'm kept informed, and having read what Squids wrote here, found by my googling the topic, I will calmly wait until the files are posted.

Listen you Futzpucker!!!! Oh that is your nick so I guess it is okay to call you that. ;)

You're right. Although the emails have to be sent from the office. I'm actually still at the office and as soon as we're done updating everyone's account with OWD kits to download we're going to send out a news email. One thing we have to change in the news of esoundz is that it isn't product specific news... it SHOULD be but it goes to everyone and not every esoundz member (there are many many thousands) are in this group buy. So it isn't news for them. Just the people that joined this group buy. That can and will be improved. If you knew the amount of times I make these custom requests of my web team... but, actually apart from a few things missing (like news per product) the site is actually very sophisticated e-commerce... epointz, group buys... all custom made stuff.

Anyway, on the note about most people spend time with family over the holidays... yes, most of the SR employees did. I personally sacrificed my family time with my girlfriend's part Italian part Argentenian family even with a father that kissed me on the forehead like Marlon Brando in the Godfather. My days were numbered and I risked led boots to get you this thing... just kiddin'. They were very cool about it but my vacation became a non-vacation and I worked around the clock. I am not asking for any extra credit for that because it was my responsibility as owner of the company... I just know a lot of owners of companies that would not do that. They'd MAKE their employees do it and I wouldn't do that. But the ones that did got a nice reward for stepping up to the plate as they should.

We have high standards for customer service and above all we really do care. But some things are out of your hands and you just have to plow through it and make it work. We don't give up. The product is super new but it is REALLY good and the result of YEARS of development. The material comes from products that collectively used to cost quite a bit. Ocean Way Drums when it first came out was $1,000 for the Gold and $2,000 for the Platinum version - and the ONLY way to get those particular sounds. Now with these DL kits you get a light version that has pretty close to the same quality but for 1/10 the price... and then you have everything else... Drum Masters, Midi Files, EZ Player Pro or more MT Kits, Impulse Reponses and an expandable Kontakt Player that alone has a retail price of... $99!

Out of 800+ people who have now bought it we've had maybe 2 cancel. Not too many want to back out of THIS deal... especially since we've made it clear that once we have to stop this bundle will no longer be available again. Out of our control. It is a temporary product at this price and those who get into it will benefit and those who miss it won't. You did well by joining this group buy and that will be evident when you have everything.

The communication we will improve - especially now that we're all back. I hate to be a Grinch but holidays and business don't go well together. One the one hand it is supposed to be a time for family but on the other it is one of the best times for business in the year! Whose idea was that???

I've never posted in this forum, and not sure I have ever logged in before. I do wish to thank you and the esoundz team, especially Allen, who puts so much time and effort into not only promoting your wonderful products, but attending to the needs of so many of the lest computer savvy amongst us. Heck, when I attended college as a youth, there were no ATC controllers. We just had to look out for pterodactyls on our own. :o Anywho, I am a loyal customer, and will remain so. Youse guys are the best(for you N.Y. fans). I may be nearly computer illiterate, but Allen has taught me how to navigate on my Mac. Keep up the good work, and oh, by the way, the sound of the loaded hard drive sounds as though it's barking up my tree. Or maybe, that was just Sasha. :D Thanks again for everything! roundabout

Just a note to add. Squids et al always come through, so relax. I know, because I am a platinum member. If I had any doubts, I wouldn't be here. Roundabout71 :)

I got it [Infinite Player] working now I have to figure out if the Odd Grooves is worth buying. I can play my keyboard making sounds and record it in Saw Studio Midi Workshop but I can't record thus far a pre-made midi beat or get the midi track to play back all sounds of the pre-made midi beat. It just plays the kick. The drumkit is in omni mode and port1 ch1 is the midi track. Lost thus far but will make headway I guess.
