I tried installing this new infinite player but for some reason it gave me the following;

Install Failed: The following install step failed......Run postflight script for infinite player library

Well now any idea? Macbook, Kontakt 4.0 installed a dew days ago which seem to work.

I had to expand a few files again with BetterZip. Stuffit expanded some Mac files with errors. Springy identified the errors but the files still did not work. BetterZip worked fine.

Well that work, I'm used to suffit (didn't try with) so I was trying with zipeg and that didn't work?? but work the fisrt time with BETTERZIP.

I think that I have a problem similar to what Mattiiiii, dimitar, Qdraw, ... described.

I have been able to download the 4 files ( infiniteplayerkontakt, ipowdstkit01dry, ipowdstkit02med & oddgroovesbonus ). I have been able to install everything (and I already own full K3.5 ) but when I go to activate the Infinite Player with the NI service center, it asks for a serial number and it won't accept the serial number that I used to download from downloadablesoundz. I don't see any other serial number anywhere. I can access the piano and the drums but only in demo mode.

Oh well ... It seems that we still need another bit of information. Hopefully that will come later today. In the meantime, I'll open a ticket on downloadablesoundz.

I believe there are a number of us asking about this. Could we please get a comment on this? Thank you.

The serial number (redeem code) that you use to go to DownloadableSoundz is not the same serial code for the Infinite Player that gets registered with NI through Service Center.

But, after you have redeemed the code on DownloadableSoundz you should receive the Infinite Player serial to activate it through Service Center in your DownloadableSoundz download area.

We've done this in past group buys and it was easier. In this one there are a lot more than usual and a wider range of people familiar vs. unfamiliar with the various places on the web sites things might be etc. So, in order to make that universally better for everyone we will describe every detail of where things should be. Then if they're not there you simply contact Support so they can make sure it is there or point you in the right direction.

In order to get my serial for IP I submitted a support ticket, maybe that helps. Nearly there..

I just looked in my USER AREA on downloadablesoundz and then under PRODUCT SERIALS and there is now a serial number for the Infinite Player there! Pressed 'activate' on the Infinite PLayer library header and then copied and pasted the number into the NI service center. Re-started Kontakt and no more *DEMO*... sweet

Strange, I just emailed it to test and it works fine. You can also try allen (at) sonicreality (dot) com. Or you could try support (at) esoundz (dot) com.

But if it is about the DVD option please read my post above. There is a proper way we're going to do the DVD option and it won't be by requesting it from Allen. First, he's not in sales but second there's an order process we have to do to keep that organized for potentially hundreds of people that may choose that option.

We will have the custom DVD option plus shipping this coming week. No need to email Allen about that. He won't be just doing it one on one. It will be an extra product you can order when it is ready in the next couple of days if you'd like. Also the pre-installed on HD will be an option as well. Might be worth it for some people that want to just GO and not have to "assemble" the components.

The main place your IP serial would be is in the user area of DownloadableSoundz under PRODUCT SERIALS - this is if you've selected Infinite Player after using the code you click on to redeem at www.downloadablesoundz.com for your choice of the Infinite Player vs. the Jazz Kit if you already have it.

By the way, for people who didn't catch my explanation of "why this extra step?" the first time, I will give you the short version. In order to accommodate BOTH people that are NEW to the Infinite Player AND people that already HAVE the Infinite Player (when I capitalize just accent the word in your head ) we made it so instead of just giving EVERYONE the Infinite Player, we wanted to reward previous Infinite Player users with a bonus kit instead since they don't need two Infinite Players. We don't ALWAYS do that but once in a while we do... so if you're new to this and think that's a hassle just think about all of the current Infinite Player users who are glad everyone is cool about it being that way. You may be in that situation yourself in a future purchase of sounds for the Infinite Player and not having to get the Infinite Player twice might be of benefit to you as well.
