Ah the best solution for that is to just get AmpliTube.
[/quote]

I'm using GTR 3.5 most of the time now, and occasionally POD Farm and Guitar Rig. Guitar Rig has some nice features for practicing, though, and the others don't.
Thanks for all the comments. I did try re-installing, and I'll wait for NI's response.

If you have a variety of them anyway you might want to check out AmpliTube. What I like about it the most is X-Gear which is a frame where you can put all of the different stomp boxes and amps together in a custom rig between the products. Plus the modeling is usually the most accurate and is only getting better and better. They're all great though. But AT is a must-have IMO. They even modeled some of my own pedals that I sent to Italy once. So I can A/B with the real thing. The difference between their Fuzzface and mine is mine accidentally picks up unwanted radio stations!
Anyway, good, I hope it works out for you. I have a feeling it has to do with them dropping PPC support. I am not personally for doing that but... then again, we've all been there where it's time to upgrade one's computer. I held on to OS9 for the longest time.

Oh by the way, little update here. The patch update for the OWD kit will be tomorrow along with all of the OWD kit's patches and samples. But I went through the two kits and only Kit 1 has a minor issue with extra blank ALTs. Kit 2 is fine. Plus this is only noticeable in V-Drum mode, not iMap, and that's only because that alt is on. You can also just turn that alt off quite easily but it is not even supposed to be there. It's also just the hi tom that has an extra two alts it isn't supposed to and the splash and chinas aren't supposed to have so many either. Not a big thing but we want it to bullet proof more or less so we'll tweak Kit 1 and replace the patches for you. I'll have the patches for it posted on www.sonicreality.com in the download support area so anyone who already downloaded Kit 1 doesn't have to download the whole thing again. Unnecessary. A tiny zip you can just drag and drop onto the Infinite Library installer and it will do the replacing for you in seconds once we have it. I will let you know tomorrow. It doesn't even affect most people but one person mentioned it so... caught it.

ARRRGHHH! After a nine hour aborted download attempt (I'm not even kidding) of the Infinite Player/Kontakt 3.5 files I only had 556 GB downloaded and obviously it wouldn't open.
I've sent an e-mail to Allen to request he reauthorize just the Infinite Player (I had redeemed prior to reading on here that the files would be separated - I'll download Kontakt from the support area) but that is a whole day I'll never see again!
Oh well, at least I watched some football (Go Jets! - boo Eagles), rearranged my sock drawer, practiced my "air" finger drumming to get my chops up, learned Portuguese, was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize, alphabetized my silverware drawer, invented the Internet (etc., etc., etc.) while I was waiting.
And thankfully I was able to download Kit 1 (while I was sleeping last night - over 7 hours!
) But I'll certainly be getting the DVD once it's available for the rest of the stuff. At least I'll be able to play around with the piano and Kit 1 until then.

Dave, can you respond?blueman wrote:
2. There is not much round robin going on with the IMAP kits. I only found it in a few kit piecesThe GM kits have LOTS of round robin layers though. Is this by design because IMAP offers alternate hits? Will it vary from kit to kit? I understand why it's not on the splash and china cymbals but the snares should have it, right? Anyway, just need some clarification on how round robin works.
3. Maybe I'm crazy (well, certainly I AM) but to me, the IMAP kits sound better than the GM kits. Am I hallucinating?

4. I'm getting some strange level fluctuations. Sometimes, I get clipping (on full velocity tom hits) and other times, I can barely hear the snare hits. I'm using Groove Monkee Blues midi. I haven't noticed this with DM1. Weird![]()

for some reason I used to like a bunch of rick springfield stuff (love somebody, human touch) Always found the choruses pretty catchy.
I think there is a toad the wet sprocket song with moot in it too.

I'm not Dave, but I think what you might be hearing is the enhanced IMAP routing for MIDI. IIRC, the IMAP has some additional stuff that enhances the overall kit with some human/drummer like flourishes (flams, left/rights mics, etc.) I may be off base on this, but I also think that the EZPRO Midi files that are included for IMAP take advantage of these additional mappings.blueman wrote:Dave, can you respond?blueman wrote:

I know some here are having problems, but is it possible that I'm actually getting BETTER download times than in previous group buys? I just downloaded the deluxepiano file (approx. 275 mb) in about 6 minutes. I recall some of the larger downloads previously going at easily twice or three times that rate. New servers?

They certainly seem much faster than in earlier GB's - has Florida moved to 240V AC power?BERFAB wrote:I know some here are having problems, but is it possible that I'm actually getting BETTER download times than in previous group buys? Any way, once the DVD becomes available (and gets dogsledded up here) I'll be golden.

I still haven't found out if I can use Kontakt 2 for this. The full blown Kontakt, not Kontakt Player 2. Kontakt Player 3.5 and 4 only work on Intel. I have a MBP available but I'd really like to use this on my G5.
BTW the free demo with Kontakt player 2 works with my G5, OS 10.5.8 but it's not clear that this will be able to be used with the paid set.
Also ......... is it possible to map from a padKontrol?
Thanks. I'm sure the info is somewhere but the threads are just too long to search.
