I think that's the problem. I'm on 10.5.8. I don't feel that I can throw cash at a new sampler right now, no matter how great the deal is. It's interesting that you can run K3 on Tiger yet I can't get KP 3.5 or 4 to install on Leopard.

Oh well. Sometimes you're the windshield........ sometimes you're the bug

Kontakt 3.5 will work with PPC though. We also suppply Kontakt Player 3.5 for free to you on our support page on www.sonicreality.com so try that and see. You can have that on your computer AND your full Kontakt 2 at the same time. Just only load these sounds from Kontakt Player 3.5

Yes you can play it from a padKontrol and map to it or the other way around.
O.K. Call me dense but I've been to the support page of Sonic Reality as well as the support pages for esoundz and downloadablesoundz (all over town!) and I've not found where I can download Kontakt 3.5. I see Allen has already re enabled my Infinite Player-only download in my user area but now I need to download Kontakt on my own and I can't find it (I want 3.5).

I'm planning to try and download something again tonight while I'm sleeping and I see the downloadablesoundz traffic is high so I was going to try to get Kontakt tonight. (And I now have DownloadItAll for Firefox - thanks for the tip.) I'm hopeful I can try this stuff out by mid-week.

O.K. I found it. But it's not on the support page but the Sonic Reality download page (duh) in case anyone else is looking for it.

Hey thanks Squids. Just to reiterate........ K 3.5 only works on PPC with 10.4. It will not install on 10.5. So basically I'm screwed....... unless I want to up Kontakt, which I can't afford right now. And I need 10.5 to run Logic 9 which I'm loving.

Maybe I'll buy it just for use on my MBP though.

There should be a link of it near the top of your downloads page on eSoundz.com. I have it on my page. If you can't see it there, then just download the Kontakt 3.5 Player directly from Native Instruments web site. It is the same thing.

Hey that sounds good! Tomato-based? Broccoli huh? Hmmm.
Water-based with the help of Thai Kitchen's "Lemongrass and Chilli" for Noodles and spice. Broccoli is very good for helping to prevent cancer, and it's delicious. I especially like Broccoli stalks, which for some reason many people cut off and throw out.

Great work, DarkStar, in gathering all that essential information and finding the colour iMap chart! That's some dedication to have sifted through the pages of this thread and collected that useful information for the vital information thread! I applaud you.

Sorry to have you join a million places but you have to create a login for www.sonicreality.com and then you can access the files on this page: http://www.sonicreality.com/index.php/downloads/

I found it (see above) but I'm wondering about all of the web sites! I had to register again at the Sonic reality site to download Kontakt 3.5 (that's three sites to get this all done - so far; I guess I'll be visiting NI's site at some point as well to authorize). Maybe 2010 could be a year of consolidation for Sonic Reality (into a consolidated Internet reality - you could sell chicken soup and sushi, too). :hihi:

Thanks Squids! I found it (finally) and it's happily downloading now, although even DownloadThemAll! can't even speed the process up - at least I'll be able to resume when my connection drops me (it's inevitable). And I hope you don't think I'm complaining but I certainly feel like I'm "earning" all of the good stuff you've provided.

(Although still not working nearly as hard as you guys. What is it, like quarter to 2:00AM there? Incredible. Load up on the chicken soup!)

Yeah it's 1:44. My favorite number is 4 so I actually have a moment of silence when I see that on the clock... a very short moment but I'm weird.

Anyway, yeah, the thing is those three sites have different purposes. Sonic Reality is the site as a manufacturer which services ALL dealers of Sonic Reality, not just esoundz.

eSoundz is kind of like a "sound outlet" mainly for the purposes of selling Sonic Reality but other stuff that we have easy access to or drop ships, is downloadable etc. There is no single Sonic Reality dealer that carries all of our stuff so we had to make one. That's esoundz.

DownloadableSoundz.com is meant for dealers to be able to sell a vast range of virtual inventory through Download Cards (like iTunes cards). It's a huge benefit to them and a chance for them to have an even larger range than esoundz has (because it has thousands of individual loops, instruments and other things that can be purchased by buying bulk credits). It's also meant to be for more than just Sonic Reality sounds. But that one is only a year old and the other two have been around in various versions for around 7-10 years. So... it's still a baby but a great concept and it will solidify more this coming year.

So as long as we're trying to do those three different activities there is no way to consolidate them all. But there is a way to connect your esoundz account to a downloadable (if someone joins DownloadableSoundz first though it doesn't go the other way because they could come from another deal and we handle that with respect to the dealer).

Anyway, it's not that big a deal to be a member of all of those. Each has a different purpose. SR.com tells you about the products with behind the scenes photos, videos and more. eSoundz is a STORE and downloadablesoundz is for buying credits and using your epointz to get a la carte stuff, multi-choice products (that's why we used it for this GB)... so it all has its purpose. Just seems like a lot but... there are a lot of components in this group buy! You also have to get EZ Player Pro from Toontrack when you get the serial if you choose it at that phase. So that + Naive Instruments makes 5. But... ALL good stuff. The worste that can happen is you're on their newsletters which you can cancel.

A couple of post ago I said the K3.5 does not install on PPC 10.5.8. But it appears that I was wrong. I tried it again and this time it didn't throw up the error message.

I have no idea why it didn't install the first time but I'm playing back the demo pack just fine now.

Thanks! I actually found it when I was downloading another product- everytime I'd download the various bits they'd be a totally different size. Finally I found DownThemAll, problem solved. Plus, if you maximize the "segments," you can often speed up your downloads. The resume function is invaluable, as well.

Btw, Squids, what Miami restaurants would you recommend? I'm a sucker for Sublime (my girlfriend is vegan), I love their tuscan quiche and I can't believe it isn't "real!"

At least it's not winter where you are (well, not really :) ).

Someone said this would be available for a while longer (I didn't joint the GB). Is that so?
