Squids, seriouslySquids wrote:Here is hopefully my last apology post about the mishaps over the weekend and the delay. I think it is going to get boring and repetitive if I keep apologizing to each person so at a certain point they'll just have to understand and accept that we're doing our best and despite there being some minor delays it is a killer deal and this is the (exclusive) only way to have gotten it AND it will all be worth it in the end.
Thanks for everyone's understanding and patience.

I'm having an issue with the Hi Hat. I have a TD-20 with a VH-12 that I just factory reset. The open sounds are being choked by other Hi Hat hits. I'm unable to get any edge/sloshy grooves going, or grooves where I'm playing on the bow and accenting on the edge.Reverend Rhythm wrote:Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you are a V-drummer. A couple of people have played the forst two kits with their drums. Maybe they can comment.
I emailed support but have not gotten a response.

I think it's the third post down. I believe the coupons and the offer from oddgrooves are the only payable upgrades.hydemusic wrote:http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... sc&start=0Tone Control wrote:Can anyone please sumamrise the add-on offers in this GB (i.e. the extras that cost extra)

I also wonder if the Vdrums forum could help: http://www.vdrums.com/forum/paradidl wrote:I'm having an issue with the Hi Hat. I have a TD-20 with a VH-12 that I just factory reset. Hi there, Per here!zedd wrote:RE: Oddgrooves upgrade...
You beat me to it. But the sale does go until January 4th, so it is still good today for anyone wanting less than all 7000 grooves. But for anyone wanting the complete set with fills and all, our GB upgrade deal looks like the way to go.standalone wrote:The new fills pack is not included in the bundle and the Christmas sale is now over (I think).
Yes that is correct, the Fill Pack is not included in Bundle 5, so ths GB deal is the better one.
BTW, here's a little progress update:
I just finished converting ALL 7000 grooves to I-map, and will test them tomorrow. So the grooves should be ready to ship tomorrow evening (Stockholm time). Everyone who signed up at the upgrade page will be notified by e-mail.
Here's the link to the upgrade page:

i'm wondering.....paradidl wrote:I'm having an issue with the Hi Hat. I have a TD-20 with a VH-12 that I just factory reset. The open sounds are being choked by other Hi Hat hits. hmmm, squids.....???? when i was mentioning this choke behaviour i was meaning for it to only happen with the high hat on the f-sharp to allow for all other articulations of high-hat to ring through as per usual
this way it allows to hit the f-sharp to choke but to still be able to play rolls on the high hats using different articulations or use semi-open hats for more rock-orientated hat work
if all hats are choking it's like the 1-voice option you mentioned way back....
possibly a way round this is to duplicate that f-sharp closed hit..one choking , the other not...
i really have no idea how flexible this stuff is because i have been waiting patiently for others to d'load and for all the problems to be ironed out and so i haven't got it up 'n' running yet
i hope my little request hasn't been misunderstand, been too much hassle or compromised the behaviour for the majority

Is it a simple matter to move my Infinite Player libraries, such as these, to an external drive at a later date? I was planning on starting with my internal HD, but will probably get an external soon. Is it really just like moving, say, the Kontakt 3.5 "included" libraries to an external drive, where you just need to go into options and update everything? Or, is there something with the infinite player that needs updating too or that adds any wrinkles?

I've been having a good time with the two kits available so far - been playing along to grooves all day. Tomorrow I'm going to do some recording hopefully - we;ll see how the day progresses.
Hmmmmm - what to spend my epoitz on. I had some and I just added some more over at downloadablesoundz.com - the choices the choices.

oh boy...what have i done ???
squids...forgive my naivety 'cause i aint a drummer.......
been thinking of what you said about the footpedal-hat being before the tip hit in a pattern to silence the open
a question.....from a drummer perspective, does the footpedal replace the first beat after the close
e.g (c-closed tip, oh - openhat, ph - pedalhat)
bar 1
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
c c c c c c c oh
bar 2
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
ph c c c c c c oh
.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.;.
if so then i've made a lot of stress for nothing.....i have alwys mucked around on kit but don't know rudiments etc.....as a finger/pad drummer, i've only ever used the pedalhat to chug along under the ride cymbals and always used the closed tip......
however i was just playing around in battery and started to use the pedal as above....it worked out kinda good and i understand about the sound distinction between the 2 methods
if the above example is incorrect then it supports what i initially thought that the pedal goes down milliseconds before the first closed-tip strike...in which case my request makes sense
another e.g...think fast disco high hats
duka-tss duka-tss duka-tss duka tss
now i always assumed that that was played as 2 closed hat tip-strikes followed by an open.......what i'm now thinking is that it is pedal, close, open...pedal, close , open
am i making ANY sense here ??
if you understand me and the examples are correct, that the pedal does substitute a beat then colour-me -a -big-fcucken-idiot
someone let me know
