No member discounts on DLZ. That's an esoundz-only thing. But you can still use your epointz on esoundz... just have that minimum $5 CC thing there is all. Buy wherever it is the better deal. I think it all depends. Sometimes there is no membership discount and it is cheaper on DLZ. Sometimes it is a product that isn't even offered on esoundz and ONLY on DLZ (like individual loops for example). The good part is you have choices... more options to use you e-pointz money.

Also, McDonalds is going to be accepting epointz soon but just for Happy Meals. Just kiddin'

It's a good thing that you were joking about McDonalds - they already take too much of my money and add way to many pounds to my body. I'd hate to waste valuable epointz on a burger and fries; but the toy surprise in each esoundz.com purchase would be pretty cool.

How about the hi hat performance? Is it working well?

I told you, my edrums are VERY old. I have various bits of kits connected to a VERY OLD Roland PM-16 (Pad to Midi) brain. My Hi-Hat is only a standard Hi-Hat pedal, but has plastica cymbals to which I connected 2 piezos, one for closed Hi-Hat and one for open Hi-Hat. That's all, unfortunately...

since we are talking food (again)...I just came back from my girlfriend's where we had Raclette, you put different cheeses on a heating machine that melts everything (I got it as Christmas present), and then you pour the melted cheeses on top of baked potatoes...mmmm....really yummy...and since the machine has an additional electric grill we roasted small sausages on it at least 2 kg of cheese and 1 kg of sausages, plus 2 bottles of wine (5 people)

I can't even sit on my drum seat at the moment

ahahahah sounds delicious but it seems it has tons of calories. Portuguese cuisine is sooooo healthy that i really havent nothing like it in no country i know. (not so many though ahahaha)

I was just joking about Mcdonalds too - in a past life in a distant galaxy I went to culinary arts school and worked in restaurants for many a year. I do all the cooking in my house (something my wife, and children in particular, are very grateful for.)

I love to cook - very rarely eat out except for the occasional trip to my favorite micro-brew/restaurant - but then again that has little to do with the food (which is excellent I might add, but none the less it's still little to do with the food.)

Should fix that hi hat thing for V-Drums. If anyone knows what I was talking about for finger drumming regarding the hat being choked by JUST the foot vs. the foot AND the closed let me know if you want a way to be able to have it the old Squids way which is JUST the foot. It's easy to do. If you don't know what I'm talking about then no worries. You probably won't even notice. This is for picky finger drummers like me. I'll make some NKM patches for you guys if you want Squids Special iMap tweaks ready to go... I mean, I am going to do it for myself anyway.

been thinking of what you said about the footpedal-hat being before the tip hit in a pattern to silence the open

a question.....from a drummer perspective, does the footpedal replace the first beat after the close

I think most rock drummers would stick hit the hi-hat as it closed instead of waiting for the next eighth note, but it is a moot point. Either way, you physically cannot play a closed hi-hat while the same hi-hat is ringing a previous open note, so it should be cut off (unless some more elegant solution is available).

Now if people want to determine whether the hat is in fact open or closed based on a CC# or whatever e-drum pedal uses, that needs to be supported, but that is a separate issue.

(Edit: It occurs to me randomly that if there is really great scripting for openness as a CC#, the keyboard player could consider using expression pedal himself and then his keyboard map would only need tip hit, edge hit, etc.)
