Okay we'll change it. I will replace the download links.paradidl wrote:Here's what I'm seeing after loading the patches:zedd wrote:VDRM is the old version, and VDRUM is today's update.
Kit 1 has a VDRM instrument group that contains both VDRM & VDRUM instruments. Kit 1 also has both VDRM & VDRUM multis that load the respective instruments.
Kit 2 has a VDRM instrument group that contains only VDRM instruments. Kit 2 has only a VDRM multi.
It's a little confusing, maybe it would be better to remove everything and reload from the new zips that get released shortly? If so, is that just a matter of removing the "Ultimate Studio Drums" folders under the Infinite Player folder?

Squids,
I just tried to install the OWD kit 1 update, by dropping the ZIP onto the Infinite Player Installer, but it told me that the library is already installed...
And so, since someone mentioned this morning that there is a new Infinite Player Installer v1.1 which allows the overwriting of installed libraries, I thought I should get that...
...but... the links on this page don't seem to be working:
http://www.sonicreality.com/index.php/downloads/
Can you please provide a link for downloading the Infinite Player Installer upgrade?
Thanks.

Well at least tonight you should. I imagine we'll have a bunch of kits to play with over the course of the next few hours.

Yes you do need the latest Infinite Library Installer (which does come with the Infinite Player people are getting with this GB, Zedd is just a previous user who didn't have it).zedd wrote:Squids,

Zeddster, that link does work. You have to create a login for Sonic Reality.com to be able to access the support/download stuff. Remember Sonic Reality is the brand of the product, esoundz is actually just a dealer of SR products (and others). So product-related stuff is found on SR.com If we give it away we want to know who is getting it.

But the fix in the link (just deleted it off the server temporarily so the link I posted wont work until I replace the files) will not fix it for you. Unfortunately now that you have both you WILL need to just remove that Ultimate Studio Drums folder in both the Instruments and Multis. Then the new one will install that back in for you. Actually... not a big deal since there are only 2 kits. In a weird kind of way it was good to have just two kits out there to iron out any issues first and THEN go ballistic. That might have to be a new aspect of a custom group buy. A sort of beta test to make sure the group doesn't have issues and then the full thing. It could even start DURING the group buy next time for those that want to participate and put in their 2 cents... if it is custom we might as well customize it to user requests. We'll see. I don't think all group buys are as complex as this one! Complex in a good way... many sounds, may features (Many Lives and Many Drum Masters).paradidl wrote:You're doing a helluva job Squids. Hmm, maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can't download the Infinite Player from downloadable soundz. It tells me the product is not active anymore. I submitted a ticket but is there a faster way to get going on this? I redeemed the coupon and it took me to a page they call "Multi Card Selection" but no love. To be clear, I bought in early this AM, which I thought was OK (but maybe not)
It's a little complicated, no?
edit: I just noticed that the redeem coupon link does not seem to direct me to the correct page. Or, if it does, the wording is totally different. I see no option to select to GB WITH or without the Infinite Player.

Woops. Sorry, Kit 2 DID get the update. It replaced the previous VDRM files with the new ones. One of the guys here (Mike) messed up Kit 1 by calling it VDRUM. But we've just fixed that and I just uploaded it again. If you click those links again the new Kit 1 will download and that will be correct... better be!paradidl wrote:So does that mean Kit 2 didn't get the update? And here are those links again for anyone who needs them (i.e. anyone who downloaded versions of these drumkits earlier today or over the weekend):
Squids wrote:Here's the link for now until it is in the SR downloads area. All you have to do is drag and drop these into the window of the Infinite Library Installer and they'll automatically replace the previous patches.

Should fix that hi hat thing for V-Drums.

I suppose it is possible there is a misdirection but... seems unlikely. The redeem code is supposed to take you to a page where you can choose EITHER the Infinite Player OR for people that already have it they can choose a drum kit instead.esteso wrote:Hmm, maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can't download the Infinite Player from downloadable soundz. Anyway, a support ticket is good. You can accompany that with an email to allen (at) esoundz (dot) com if you want to speed up him looking at it (he gets a pile of support tickets and usually doesn't look at those except during business hours). He will check emails at night if someone is stuck and desperately trying to get something going.
It's a little bit complicated but not so much considering this is a bundle of things. They are in different places but the added value of them normally would be over $500-700. So for $99 it should hopefully be worth getting this and that from the different sources. This isn't just one product off the shelf. It's a mega bundle with a lot of options to try to please everyone - both new Infinite Player users and current Infinite Player users. That might make it have a few extra steps but I think current Infinite Players are happy we did it for them and you might be too the next time we do a group buy and you already have the Infinite Player and can instead get a free set of sounds.

Alright I think we have it now? Yes. We do.
The link for the two Kits are now replacing the old patches. Out with the old and in with the... okay enough with the stupid stuff. Time to get serious! You all want some OWD kits? They're being put into your esoundz member's area right now. Might take a little while for EVERYONE to have it but you will be getting them within the hour. ENJOY!

Yes you do. Excellent. The problem is gone. Again, marvelous level of service, especially considering it's approaching 9p gator time.Squids wrote: Alright I think we have it now? Yes. We do.
Any tips for getting a tighter closed edge sound? Even with my VH offset at -100 and my foot mashed into the pedal the edge hits still sound a little loose. The closed bow sounds nice and tight.
Edit: I'm hoping to get a "tick" sound from the closed bow and a "chick" sound from the closed edge: tick-tick-CHICK-tick-tick-tick-CHICK-tick if you're playing with the hats closed on the bow and accenting on the edge. Make sense?

Just noticed something. There's nothing in the date modified column in explorer for alot of these files (I checked after updating kits 1 and 2). They are dated Sept 24, 1737, but in the zip files they have a 2009 date. Is Inf player library installer changing the date?
