Yepp, same here with Kontakt 4 in FL Studio on Vista 32 bit.

I agree, should be easy to fix. And seems minor, as (as noted before) the kick drum is correctly routed to the "Kick" channel in the Kontakt mixer. 8)

Within the bass drum panel ,pan doesn't seem to work nor the volume slider, it is also not reporting and level on the bar led thingi. there seems to be a problem with send effects for the bass drum . NOt sure whats going on but so far thats all i've found , I'm running kontakt player 4 on windows 7.
Hi....
I have the same problem...

Hoping some of you experienced Kontact and Infinite player guys can help me out..
Every thing working well here.. apart from a problem with kit one... on the bass drum i have no visual output from the instrument gui.. and the volume pan and aux send etc does not respond.. although i do have sound.. and can control the volume from the mixer.. Maybe i've done something stupid.. i'm new to Kontact and the infinite player.. I have re-downloaded kit one and re-installed etc.. everything is ok with kit 2..
I'm on OSX 10.5.8. and using logic 9..

any help or suggestion would be appreciated thanks...
Same applies here.. does it using Kontakt in standalone mode or as a plugin with PT 8 on OSX 10.5.8... Exactly the same.. shows signal at the mixer just doesn't show in the kick slot of Kontakt's rack. Not really worried though. Way too many things to play with to care! :)

Ahh ...

Maximillion's on Windows 7...
I'm on OSX and Logic and Your on Pt.. so it;s not system specific..

i'm sure it will get a fix... but good to point these things out to the guys as early as possible...

I agree Wazanegi.. I'm not worried even though there are still some bugs to be ironed out... bottom line is i'm picking up my guitar and knocking some stuff out.. it's been inspiring.. and thats what it's all about for me...

peace... paul...
Just wanted to say something about the pan control. It appears to me that each kitpiece slot is a stereo channel, so the pan control really acts like the balance control on a stereo and not really a true "pan". I've tried this with the toms, etc. It does seem like you could output each slot to a mono track in your DAW and then be able to really pan the kit pieces.

All that being said, gripes are only mineor, the kits sound fantastic, and the custom KSP programming for Kontakt is pretty impressive. I didn't think Kontakt could be as powerful a drum sampler as BFD or Superior but it looks like it may be possible.

I think you are the only person that can answer that.

For me - I already had EZDrummer + DFH and Nashville EZX expansions, Steven Slate Drums EX + Metal and More, and Essential Pop/Rock 2 packs, and Session Drummer 2 & 3 (the inlcuded drum software from Sonar) and a bunch of other Drum loop or sample sets (REX, WAV, MIDI, SFZ, ...) from Groove Monkee, Beta Monkey, Big Fish Audio, Sonik Reality, Smart Loops,...

Even with all that - I like having variety as I write music of almost every genre.

For $99.00 this was an absolute "no-brainer" (it's the reason why I was the first one to sign on to this group buy - really, you can look back and see at the beginning of this epic (or maybe EpiK :D ) thread.) Whether it is for you is a question only you can answer. For me, drums are one of those "you can never have enough" type things - variety is the spice of life.

can't talk about slate drums, though from audio demos they are absolutely the opposite of what i'm looking for

regarding ezdrummer....ez is a great little unit...very easy to set up and a couple of the expansions sound pretty good (one is fantastic)..good for sketching out tracks and pretty good overall if you used nothing else...but they have nowhere near the level of detail of these kits...nor can they come near to being as expressive because the kits in this group buy are loaded with ways to eek out realism

I'm on Win XP & it's been quite a while since I installed Infinite Player - so take this with as many grains of salt as seems wise.

When you install Infinite Player it asks for 2 locations, 1st is program install location, 2nd is the library/samples location.
When you use the Infinite Installer to add a kit it's asking for the library/samples folder.

If you watch the video that Allen Sides did about the Ocean Way DL pack, he talks about all the drum pieces being mixed to individual stereo parts but that you could still use the individual PAN controls of each component to adjust what I think he called their "relative" positioning; which I read as what you just said - a sort of balance control rather than true panning.

I used the standard install so this may not be the same as yours but for me the folder is at Macintosh HD/users/shared/Infinite Player. The folder should be created when you install your IP.

Hi,
I see that some people already have the drums but I have not even gotten a confirmation e-mail yet. Can someone explain the process? Do I first get an e-mail? Do I go to www.esoundz.com or to www.downloadablesoundz.com?
Thanks,
Sergio

Studio ProFiles Infinite Player_info.nkx

and

Studio ProFiles Infinite Player_info.nkc

You MUST remove that NKC! It is a cache file for Kontakt to "remember" quickly or something like that... but it has memory of your OLD NKX! Get rid of that evil little nkc. ;)

You can optionally also remove that INFO folder that was in there initially this weekend. You don't need it...
Hmmm. I did this once and it resolved the problem. Then I tried to re-install some older Multi-track kits (NDV Maple and Blasticks because their samples "can't be found"...didn't work...). But now even if I repeat the above fix, Ludwig can't find his pic: it's looking for "....\Samples2\<<<IP_Drum Masters Wallpapers.nkx>>>\Drum Masters Wallpapers". No big deal, just an annoyance.

BTW: is there a reason I can no longer see my old downloads on Downloadablesoundz? Thought I'd re-download those problem multis but they're currently gone.
These kinds of posts have to be emails to Allen and support. They are too specific to one person. PLEASE I beg you guys, I will not be able to handle tech support of each individual here. It's not realistic. I stayed up to 2:30 am last night trying to look at each thing and I have a whole company to run and NAMM is coming up. You know I care and I want to help you... but for that stuff you gotta email support (at) esoundz (dot) com. Or directly to Allen. Thanks.

I think it is safe to blame a little bit on NI for having a quirky little system with those TGA referencing. However it's nothing that can't be gotten around. We didn't invent Kontakt and its way of referencing the graphics. But we are putting it to the test with updating and expandable player so... we'll have to find the ways to make it work for all.

Just so you know, the latest info.nkx has ALL of the TGAs for all past and current.
