Phase 2 will likely be Thursday and Phase 1 either Friday or Monday (or in between). So far it is looking good with the server and downloads. That's good. Ironing out a few kinks with the graphics and minor settings. We'll do a patch update for any of those little things that were found (so far just Kit 1, Kit 2, Kit 8 and Kit 13 had little things to change, not show stopper stuff just graphics and settings - most of which COULD be done by you guys but we'll do that stuff so it is more consistent and then give everyone an easy patch update).andyicon wrote:Every thing in phase 1 locked and loaded!! One good thing about our custom library installer is that it does do easy patch updates.

Did I miss anyone's question they are anxious for me to answer? I lost track of this thread and even though I am busy doing three other things I am checking in at the latest page so if you want to copy it and put it in here or in the community support thread I will try to answer.
Thanks
Thanks

Hey Squids

DVD version would be available toward the end of next week probably. Most of us are going to be at NAMM. But Allen and support/web crew will be here taking care of that for anyone who wants to do it. The cool part is that it isn't instead of download. The downloads stay in your account so you could download the Infinite Player and some kits - as many as you want - to play with now and then just install all of the sounds from the DVD or HD later.Wiz_oz wrote:Hey SquidsSquids wrote:Phase 2 will likely be Thursday and Phase 1 either Friday or Monday (or in between). Thanks ebow. Yeah, maybe next group buy we'll run it for 2 months instead of 1. It takes longer sometimes for it to get around. We had to wrap this one up quick because of the NAMM show next week. We did go a little overboard on this one but all the better for you guys... as long as you don't mind this is like a bundle of 30+ products! That means collecting a lot of stuff together but the end result is a whole lot of kits!ebow wrote:so, in the 6 days since the group buy officially ended you have had almost 300 signups...what a shame they didn't manage to get it together in the 30 days...oh well, i'm really glad this has become so huge for ya...y'all truly deserve it
By the way, I saw your post about the kit pieces and that is the main thing about swapping out kit pieces to make the ultimate kit that has your favorite snare with your favorite kick etc. To do that is actually REALLY easy. You just click the "x" in the top right corner of the kit piece to "unload" it. Then you browse to your instruments folder and load up the kit piece you do like (the kick you like better or whatever) and then it all lines up. It doesn't even matter what order the kit pieces loads in vertically in the rack. As long as you load in the iMap with iMap or V-Drum with V-Drum... and/or you can also just change the map from the drop down if you want.
The slots for toms and cymbals will be more clear when I have time to fully explain it. However, the main purpose of that is to be able to set up your own tom set and cymbals for that map. It moves ALL of the articulations together to a different set of midi notes compatible with that map. A really nice feature for making your own kits as well. More on that later.

Drum Mixing question on OWD DL kit #4 and #10: we get dry and ambient kit versions. Will using both at same time work for mixing level of room ambience? (eg change % of dry vs ambient tracks)
Or would it be better to just use dry kits + convolution?
(This is where having the OWD gold or silver has more options for mixing mic levels).

Better to use the kits + convolution. You'd have phase issues if you layer them since they both DO still include some of the same directs and overheads.Kevin63101 wrote:Drum Mixing question on OWD DL kit #4 and #10: we get dry and ambient kit versions. But if you wanted to experiement by layering it and putting an slow attack on the envelope of the ambient kit... one COULD. There are not rules. Whatever sounds good to you!
However, there are coupons to get the FULL Price of what you paid on this OFF of OWD Silver or Gold. You can find those codes here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 27#3915627
