Mmmm pudding. There is no pudding included with this release, though. That would delay it.
Not only will we have an upgrade, there will be another bit on top of that to make things a little sweeter too.
I've just moved recently but if I put my pedalboard back together maybe I'll get a pic so we can put that one questionable pedal to bed too.
I just love GEAR! Check out these IK pics

hehe I knew that was coming. There are some really great things that are still to come, too, but no - so far no DG/PF AmpliTube.

I can't be arsed to place, wire/route, etc everything yet, but this should make it clear which pedal isn't on my board and should be guessed for the mystery one... I didn't want to clog the thread with pics, so here are links:
Whole shot of thrown-together guitar area
Left side board - Boss MT-2, modded DS-1, stock SD-1
Middle/main board - Top: USA Big Muff Pi, Rocktron trem, Small Clone, P-Fuzz (custom Pfeiffer Pedals Fuzz-O); Bottom: Dyna Comp, cheap-o Hash Browns flanger, modded SD-1, StarTouch A/B/Y, Phase 90, Boss volume, Weeping Demon wah, with Boss power, Planet Waves tuner, and NS-2 behind
Right side board - Biyang "analog" delay, Rocktron Short-timer, and Daddy-O overdrive with Fish n Chips EQ, crap-o Ibanez 60's Fuzz, and Boss GE-7 behind.
Again, none routed correctly or likely in the place they'll end up. Two sides to the setup, Fender Blues Junior and Orange Tiny Terror. Some effects go only to one side of the chain once I get off my lazy behind and set it all back up again. TT gets the GE-7, Daddy-O for a mid boost mainly, one of the SD-1s (haven't pounded the modded one around enough to know which will get which), and sometimes I try just having the noise suppressor on that side of the chain. The Blues Jr gets the other SD-1 and sometimes I really hate the fuzz boxes with the TT so I just put them on the BJr side.
The guitar is all Warmoth parts with Fender Lace Sensors (2 red in the bridge before they came wired together as an option, splittable, silver middle, and gold at the neck. Built around 1988 or so.
I need to unpack the Weber Mini-mass, but I really rarely use this setup for recording myself anyway. True inspiration comes at odd hours, and I typically keep most of what I do with X-Gear and I've got a gutted guitar amp cab with a full-range speaker that should have space for a Mac Mini or similar and I'll probably Frankenstein that into a mobile X-Gear rig. Not to mention it looks like my little Tiny Terror is soon to be put to shame with the modeled OR120.

That's about as close to a confirmation that it is AmpliTube 3 as we can get.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Not only will we have an upgrade, there will be another bit on top of that to make things a little sweeter too.
I'm thinking it will consolidate AmpliTube 2, Jimi Hendrix Edition, and Metal (but likely not Ampeg or Fender), plus add a decent spattering of new models such as the JC-120, Marshall MKII, an Orange amp, Trace Elliot, Leslie, etc.
My hope is that AT3 also includes a Hi-Watt!, Boss CE-2, EchoPlex, Mu-Tron III, and MXR SmartGate or Rocktron HUSH (sorry but the AT2 noisegate is next to worthless), updates the existing models to IK's rising standards, has more flexible modular routing, draggable stomp/rack effects order, and keyboard input for parameters.
Perhaps people who own all 3 (AT2, JHE, and Metal) will get a free upgrade!

Ah Wahs Peter - i don't use them often tbh but i do like the 935Q style types which can be user set (oppose to the clyde mccoy or original crybaby) so it would be good to see/have such a soft-wah along those lines (Rocktron do a decent one and morley's new george lynch wah has a real nice set of features for example). Im on a stock 935Q myself but looking out for maybe another wah to add to my board. I did have most of the ibanez tonelok series pedals but most got stolen or sold

I'll go back over the pics but I thought all the pedals were picked. And, it's one that ISN'T on your board?
At any rate I can't believe there is still one susiwong hasn't nailed

He nailed it, I just confused him. He knows what it is, I have already pretty much done everything but say it. And it is awesome, so I'm very happy to finally have one, since the virtual pedals are fine by me. There was a negative comment on another forum about "faked pedals" but oh well, I like them and like hardware pedals too as you can see.hibidy wrote:Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:this should make it clear which pedal isn't on my board and should be guessed for the mystery one... Hi Peter,
very nice collection !
Ever noticed how well the letters ATPT would go together ?
Thanks so much for the confirmation !
Just updated the list, didn't make it yesterday.
Slightly OT, you mention the Weber Mini Mass, any comments about that ?
Does it strangle the amp less than a conventional load box ?
And how loud is it mechanically ?
I've been thinking about getting a Weber for late night recording (I always record a "real" feed and a DI feed to a stereo track for options and to be independent of latency), any 1st hand experience would be nice !
Cheers,
susiwong

I think the Sunn Coliseum amp that has been missing from Jimi Hendrix edition is finally making its way in! Does that mean there will be a Sound City amp too?
One thing that is not clear is whether or not all of the amps shown are being freshly modeled. Most of the gear shown is readily recognizable from previous AmpliTube releases, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are going to be newly rebuilt models. The AmpliTube line has grown quite large, and over the course of about 7 or 8 years. It would be quite an undertaking for IK to do them all over again from scratch. And a picture like this may just be of select amps being hauled out of IK's amp collection for modeling (which could bode well for the prospects of an updated AC30 model).

Are you implying an AmpliTube Peter Toriello Edition?susiwong wrote: Ever noticed how well the letters ATPT would go together ?

If IKMM does have a new AmpliTube3 controller, it better do 96kHz!Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Nobody even said it was all software, let alone that...
I'll be pissed if it doesn't...
Then again, I'll also be pissed if it does since I already went ahead and bought the StealthPedal!

Maybe I'll send my P-Fuzz to Italy
That one has the South Park version of me on there. I might get in trouble for that one. Incidentally, they sent parts to mod it a while ago, stating that some folks thought the Fuzz-O on which it is based was "too much" but I haven't swapped any of it out yet. Considering I'm a big fan of Fender Blender or Big Muff Pi set to "stun" (or more aptly "WTFBBQ???!!!") I guess that's not surprising.
redshift is gonna be pissed. Just taking note here. Well, maybe not - considering we're all looking at AmpliTube 3 here as the final answer, right?
