Frank is a cool guy. I've known him for a long time and we've both worked with Shankar! He was always into samplers and we were talking about how sound effects/design used to be done on Synclaviers, Fairlights and Emulators then they started being just dragged and dropped as wavs into the time line - manipulated through processing. That makes sense as it is convenient and at home for an engineer. But we wanted to bring back the "performance" aspect of sound effects so his new sound effects workstation plug-in with Sonic Reality is made for instant manipulation and quick pitch and time options. You can audition the effect in a dozens of different semi tones all at once or even play them all at once for clusters of interesting new sounds... stack, layer, forward, reverse, time stretch and even drag and drop an impulse from where you recorded the scene and run all of your effects through that convolution so they match the ambience of the dialog.

FX Tron is really amazing. Some really cool news coming about it.
